There is no best episode in this tripe. Plus, the criticism of Adar's army is justified. Do legions of orc just magically appear because we sure is af haven't seen any development there. Appears you're trying to make bad writing acceptable.
@@scorpio_9810 Well it’s ridiculous to think each episode is equal in terms of quality, you can take it as the ‘least terrible’ episode if you’d rather. I’m not trying to justify poor writing, but a common criticism was that it didn’t seem believable for Adar to act with just around 50-100 orcs, and many wondered why the budget wasn’t spent to increase their numbers. Now, with more patience, we see those numbers have materialised. Granted, they could have done a better job showing the arrival of the other legions, that’s a valid critique. However, in the context of this episode, it’s a relatively minor issue. They’re preparing for an attack, so it makes sense that the orcs would begin gathering here as ordered.
They wont be able to get from where they are now to the war of the last alliance in 5 seasons at this pace without it being way too rushed and really badly played out. Which isnt surprising. The entire show has been badly played out since season 1 ep1
Very well done. You’re one of the few that gives this mess a decent review. Most of all the others are just pushing political agendas. Which is ironic because that’s what they blame the show of doing 😄 Bravo !
The show is complete garbage. Waited my whole life to see the 2nd age on film and they don't follow the lore at all and basically destroy Tolkiens vision. This isn't Tolkien it's modern agenda bs. It's just bad on all levels, acting, writing, everything about it. Every character including sauron make the dumbest decisions one after another. Nothing ever happens. 90 percent of the show is characters standing around arguing about things and not ever doing anything about it. Or the things they actually do are off screen. No sense of time. Can't tell it takes weeks for something to happen. It's like it's just a day when it actually took months. Or the opposite. What takes a day seems like a week. Elrond getting back to Lindon before the orc army getting to eregion is ridiculous. Durin goes back and forth from kazad dum to eregion multiple times but it seems like he's doing it so fast he's teleworking. Just horrible time management. Talking and talking and talking. It's so boring and again... it's a complete blasphemy of Tolkiens writing and lore. It deserves to be canceled. Period. If you're a true fan of lotr and Tolkiens works you'd feel the same. Horrible show in every way. Even the sets are small and unimpressive looking. Costumes look literally like cosplay. Every single thing is awful. I'm glad it's failing. Hopefully Amazon sells the rights to a platform that'll do it properly.
I don’t think it was the Balrog I think it was Sauron who is technically supposed to be a fire demon as well just different but in terms of strength are equal almost
@@Rawnervzz You very well could be right, from her description of a tall creature made of fire I thought she was seeing a vision of the chaos that was to be unleashed that links back to the evil among them with Sauron’s crafting of the rings that ultimately is becoming the king’s downfall.
@@Willakimbo_ that’s true I just for guide on those books so much after my first relationship ended in my 20s that I know everything probably too well I wish I knew they had classes on talking. Maybe I could be another professor, but I think I should’ve just did what you did. And made some videos But I respect the way of treating it more than other channels it’s just hilarious. The one ring and others makes fun of it
@@Rawnervzz Ah I see, well it’s always interesting seeing points of views from those who have this knowledge and passion. There are some great tools to get your ideas out there these days so it’s never too late to give things a go but likewise I’m always happy to discuss and compare thoughts
honestly, none of rings of power has been as bad as people are making it out to be. i mean, its not perfect, or even great. but its definitely not so horrible that its unwatchable.
I agree, although I did struggle in the first season a bit and kind of knew where it was going, however, making fun of this show is just becoming something religious older fans milllenials and genx + And as long as it’s not 95% or plus completely accurate to the source material which has no dialogue so it’s difficult. They don’t think it should’ve been made. I don’t think showing the evil of Sauron on a family show is awesome. This stuff is actually pretty disturbing if you know this material as well as this show but I agree it a show it’s just become a phenomenon just to make fun of it and I think it’s funny when they do it. It’s become an art form a meme a sub genre probably all of that The critical drinker said they’re losing money and probably won’t do a third run but if they do, I’ll watch it and the bad actually helps the show so even if you don’t know if people are making fun of it it’s free press
I was just gonna say I agree with you. It should’ve never been attempted based on a paragraph in total, but I can’t do spelling and grammar properly so I erased it I thought last one was well made for all its fauts (people who need the sun suck despite him needing the sun?) but otherwise it was engaging hope they learn from it.
@@ADRI_a_REAL1 its not really shitting on the lore though. maybe the tiny side lore that isnt that important to the overall story, yeah; but most of the major story beats, its following. at least as far as my knowledge im not a tolkein expert. i havent read the books for a long long long time either.
@@ADRI_a_REAL1 ive definitely seen things from other series thats shit on their lore way more. and unfortunately tolkein is not with us anymore so we are never going to get a truly perfect representation. im just happy that anyone is making anything tolkein, because they dont have to... and amazon spent over a billion dollars on this. its not perfect but we should be a little grateful we are getting any sort of adaptation of tolkeins amazing works. would you rather nothing be made unless its 100% lore accurate? cause if thats the case we'll probably never see anything in tolkeins universe again.
He might well appear in the next episode, I like the character of Tom but his nature in the books is so unique I find it difficult to warm to this version
@@brandononbrand It came 'so close' to 1st by reaching 2nd place and when you're talking about films that made over $100 million, a $13 million gap isn’t that far off
@Willakimbo_ simply being 2nd place is not the same as “so close” or “nearly”… The implication of the headline and thumbnail is that it was a close call or a photo finish. But a 10% difference is not a close call And, again, the difference is greater in terms of attendance … ticket prices are up over 20% (at least) since 2017 Anyway, don’t mean to give you a hard time. I know RU-vid encourages exaggeration and click bait. But, as an actual box office analyst, this sort of thing can be annoying.
@@brandononbrand I respect that but at the same time I come from a business & marketing background and I believe there is good and bad clickbait. The whole point of the packaging is to 'bait' the click and as long as the content follows through and delivers on the promise then I think that is perfectly fine. You say a 10% difference is not close, but that depends on perspective. You've also linked the title and thumbnail when they could work individually as above. I understand your point but I don't believe it deserves the most focus, as like you said, you understand the RU-vid way of things. I'd quite happily do basic titles etc if they worked! However, If you don't think the video did enough to give more context to the ambiguous packaging then I'll take that criticism on board absolutely!
I liked it but it had way too many concepts to juggle at the same time. First you have Delia dealing with her husband who's walking around with his head cut off because the real reason he couldn't be in the film. Then you have the daughter being deceived. Then there's Lydia being stalked by Beetlejuice. Then there's Beetlejuice's wife chasing after him and the payoff at the end just looks so cheap when you expect the big fight. Then there's the crazy detective who thinks he's a celebrity.
@@Redsnowman04 well somethings always going to get complaint. Especially since it'll be a while before hollywood recovers any real skill again. It did good finacially which is ultimately the short term factor that adds to the list of long term evidence.
"BJ, BJ" 😂On a serious note, Still need to see it! Love the OG one and yeah it might not be the best but still going to give it a shot! Great video Will!
Good review man, I went to see it for my birthday and I have to say I had a very enjoyable time with it, the practical effects, acting, music, humour, all definitely highlights. I do agree that Monica Bellucci's character definitely could've been integrated into the plot better, but for the most part I really enjoyed it, so stay tuned for my review!
Thundercats t-shirt? It was big in the 80s. I presume they teleported from the 80s to Minecraft is my only presumption. I liked how they gotten actors similar to Stranger Things. It's made for the kids of that gen, not true to MC fans from 2009 til now. It's an overpaid SNL skit that took 12 yrs to make, that's all.
It's just not the direction Game Movies should go to. I therefore genuinely hope it'll fail. You can get away with this in the 90's, but not in 2024. It reminds me of the Looney Tunes movie from back then. But sadly, it's Minecraft: If the movie is going to show a lot, kids will love it anyways.
Yeah kids 8 and under will probably just love seeing Minecraft on the big screen, shame though as Minecraft is a game that spreads across all demographics and they could've easily made a film that does exactly that!
Good reaction man, I definitely don't have my expectations very high for this one! I agree the world of Minecraft looks really nice in it, but that's honestly all I like! I agree as well, it doesn't feel like they're properly in the Minecraft world, it definitely would work a lot better as an animated film. Also the humour just really isn't working for me, the "I... Am Steve" line was quite cringe indeed. Yeah I'm not really looking forward to this one, maybe the actual film will be better, but we'll have to wait and see for that!
@@movieman223 Thanks man, yeah we’ll have to wait and see, maybe the low expectations will help the film but the signs are not pointing to a positive outcome here!
One of the worst movies ever. But it's good as an IQ test. If the person likes it you know what type of person you are dealing with. They clearly don't care about plot holes, logic or writing. Run.
😂😂😂😂..The Crow 2024 the film that no one asked for but we got it anyway ....the expected opening weekend for this Turkey was between 6-9 million dollars ..as I write this over a week after its release its made 11 million ...its 30yrs exactly since the 1994 film the studio should have just done a anniversary re release and I'll bet it would have made a lot more than this crap
Honestly I don't really have my expectations too high for this new Jurassic film. I do like Gareth Edwards as a director and I agree that it will be interesting seeing how the film looks with a big budget. But other than that I'm just not really that open to the idea of a new film, with it only having been a short amount of years since Dominion, I feel like this franchise is really starting to feel dragged out. And I'm not the biggest fan of the plot synopsis, with it being about having to get DNA from massive dinosaurs to put into a drug that can save mankind, like it just sounds a bit too dumb and OTT for me. And not to mention the whole thing just doesn't really earn that "rebirth" title, which I'm also not really a fan of, I just find that title very overdone. So it's safe to say that I'm not really all too looking forward to the next Jurassic film, granted maybe it could be a bit fun and I dunno if it'll be as bad as the last 2 films, but for me the Jurassic series is starting to get drawn out!
@movieman223 yeah, good point man. But it will probably be a better movie then dominion mainly because of the spino came back it’s a fan favourite but I hope they bring the “jp3 counterpart of the spino” because I ain’t really too fond of a accurate spino 😐.
And also most people don’t get why they named it “rebirth” it’s understandable. But it makes sense if you think about it dominion is the last movie, of the Jurassic World Trilogy Era and rebirth means to start all over again so it’s pretty understandable to the directors counterparts.
Good points made, I agree I don't think it's gonna be as bad as fallen kingdom or dominion but still my expectations aren't too high. Also I can see what you're saying about "rebirth" as a title, but I just dunno if it really earns that title, if you know what I'm saying. Plus the fact that "rebirth" is such an overdone title doesn't help. Good to get some insight but yeah my expectations still aren't high
Some fair points there man, I do agree that the franchise could’ve used some more time for people to miss it and build that demand. I’m hopeful that with a fresh cast and potentially a focus on making the dinosaurs intimidating again it’ll spark new life here, but your concerns are valid.
What are your thoughts on the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Trailer? Also I should clarify I believe Sonic will sweep the floor with Mufasa when it comes to audience response but if it were to win when it comes to box office that would be quite a shock. PS - I always called Rouge 'Rogue' as a kid and it seems to have stuck 😅
As a fan of the original, and admittedly some of the sequels for how astonishingly awful they are, Alex Proyas is right. There's too much to the original that just fell into place. The low budget forced them to rely on simple effects, and be more tame with the violence, but that only adds to the atmosphere. Brandon Lee genuinely feels like he's been driven insane, and it shows in every moment. The soundtrack isn't just a mish mash of popular goth rock, it was meticulously chosen to fit the film, and because of that, it's still one of the best soundtracks ever. It's a damn near perfect movie. But everything about this remake screams 'hollywood' interference. A popular actor who clearly isn't right for the role, race changing to show how progressive they are, over the top, yet still somehow sanitized violence, and a visual tone that is so starkly opposite to the original that it now looks more like a crappy 2010's music video than a gothic revenge story. I don't know why they made this other than a cheap cash grab, but hopefully it will bring more eyes to the original, like it did with you.
Yeah absolutely man you make some great points, I will be grateful to the film for introducing me to the original but nothing further than that! I hope you've been keeping well!
Good review man, I've seen plenty of bad reviews for this one and it doesn't surprise me at all that you didn't like it either! I'm still probably going to see it but I definitely have my expectations even lower now!
Look I’m sorry but the one thing I disagree with you is you sit here and say oh Rachel Legler has his amazing singing voice. It sounds like the student OK ain’t that? Great ain’t that. Great certainly doesn’t snow White but then again nothing about Fitz White and not only that, but you have seven jobs that were taken away from seven people who can’t find work as it is and then top of that you got all the behind-the-scenes drama because little Miss thing can’t keep her shut so yeah this thing is dead on arrival time and like I said, I’m sorry, but you will never convince me that is amazingactress, I’m sorry I don’t share that opinion
@@Leamichellefan2244 I didn’t say that at all, I’m saying that’s a reason Disney will use as her singing voice was notable in West Side Story. The other points you mention I’ve talked about in the video as well.
@@Willakimbo_ it could’ve been noticeable because that still failed everything that she has been and has failed. Of course if Disney does try to use that as a reason, then they’re really stupid. That’s all I’m gonna say they’re really really stupid. Sorry for misunderstanding you I really am sorry, but my opinion on her ““talent still stands no offense to you and please don’t be mad.
@@Willakimbo_ thank you for that thank you for that and I’m glad we can both agree that she’s not helping granted is she the only problem with this movie no but she’s certainly not helping.
