I’d say to pack what you can & label! Also take pictures / videos with time stamps of your TVs working! Our tv was damaged when it arrived luckily we put it on our high value sheet & I recorded a video of it working the day they packed it! So we got money back for it. Take advantage of the travel when you get here!! We’ve gone to Greece, Scotland, France & next up is Germany! The rates are low!! Welcome to lakenheath!!! 🥰🥰🥰

Yay!! That’s exciting! We were in TLF for about a week or 2 until we got into the house! We attended the New comers briefings, that is where the housing told me I should go to the office asap because there were houses available now! I was the only spouse to attend that briefing so I think that really helped (the spouses really only need to attend the briefing to get your 3rd Air Force license to drive here in the UK but I attended all of them) so while my husband stayed at the briefing I went to the housing office! Everyone says we were lucky to get into a house so fast, some wait a month or longer! It all just depends what is available I guess. Hopefully you won’t have to wait long! 🥰 Is this your first PCS?

Wow! That’s awesome! I’m praying we don’t have to wait too long. It’s not our first. We lived in Okinawa for 3.5 years before coming back stateside.

We do not have vents here for the air to flow through so we get our heat from the heaters on the walls! There is no AC but so far it’s been fine! ☺️

@@amraisfarias3262 they said it never really gets hot here so that’s why the houses don’t need ACs but it gets cold so we have our heaters & they honestly work great! 😁 so far it’s been rainy and getting dark by like 4:30PM so we can’t wait for the days when the sun is out longer! 🥹

We decided to do that so we can watch tv & cook or when we find recipes on RU-vid we can watch while cooking in the kitchen since it’s open! 😍
