Trieste run looks amazing! I went to the Milan run this Monday, and loved the new production and modifications. Personally as an artist myself, i found the Italian set (backdrop painting) super well done and masquerade costumes tasteful with Venice accents. The cultural adaptation is quite on point without losing essence. Will go back on Sunday for the closing night!
What a gorgeous venue! What an incredible experience this must've been... so happy for you (and sad for me that I missed it, but mainly happy for you 😉)
Now adays, the singer's attitude really matters a lot than a singing talent.. Despite what Leah Salonga's mishap and worst attitude..As an artist, you have to be genuine. versatile, friendly, customer-service approach, and adorable unlike Leah Salonga.
I love the cast ❤. Sadly, i do not like costumes, however, if i could i would have loved to see the show. I still can't understand why Christine does not wear a wedding dress in the final lair. Anyone know?
The phantom gives her the white dress, she takes it but she doesn't put it on, if I remeber it well. There's an accurate review of the italian show made by a phan on Reddit. I haven't seen the West End show, all I can say is that it's the first time we saw this kind of productions in Italy, there are usually smaller musical productions with translated lyrics. I can move on small cast, orchestra, quite modest costumes but the singer performaces were stunning, I think. Also the timing , the scene and the rythm of the show of this musical are very different from the show I am accoustumed to as an italian opera/ prose theatre viewer
@eg2094 Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up about the wedding dress. Have to say the theatre Phantom (Italy) was playing in looked lovely, and though the costumes are not to my taste, the cast and the chandelier are, and looked amazing!
There were actually quite a few changes, but the show lost none of its character because of them. The chandelier didnt drop down from on high, the masquerade scene didnt have a staircase, act 1 ended with the Phantom stood on the chandelier that was alight with flames, there were some different costumes, Raoul had no shirt on at the end (Bradley Jaden is fit LOL), the main opera house set revolved, the boat was a gondola... Overall though, it was still the POTO that we all love. In fact, i enjoyed it more than the West End version!
Thank you so much for uploading this!!!🙏 I was there on 11th too but didn’t take a video of final curtain call. One of the most beautiful and dream-come-true moments to see Ramin&Bradley in my life❗️💕
