Looks like a hosta leaf; deer love them. Thanks for great videos. I just subscribed and my gelli plate is arriving in a few days from Amazon. I can't wait to get started! I usually just paint watercolors but I have some lovely acrylic paints as well.
This is great 🙂 I've heard that our soul speaks to us through synchronicities to know we're on the right path and you are the second Catherine I've been led to. The other one was to do with a card game that gets you out and about. Both of you really creative people 🙂
Too many choices of papers = chaotic results = no joy. Yes! You described the problem I’ve been having. I’ve even been searching online and in my community for art courses to help me with the process because I’ve been so stumped, and I feel like you just gave it to me! Thank you so much! I’ve just discovered your channel and now I’m going to go watch your whole library! Thank you!
I am absolutely thrilled that my way of sorting could bring some order to your process. It made the world of difference in how I create when I stumbled on it a couple years ago. For me, the fewer papers to choose from, the better!
Beautiful ! Your tutorials are excellent. Your explanation and thought process of how to choose papers in this is very helpful. I also admire your restraint to only use a few bits of those gorgeous papers out of all you chose. Time for me to catch up on more of your videos 🥰
Love this! I'm a mad scientist like you - love experimenting with all sorts of stuff, just to see what happens! Some disasters, some resounding and surprising successes. I'd love to have seen how you used tar gel, though. Did you paint it through the stencil? It's such gloopy stuff.
I love all these ! Thanks so much for the unlimited free access to your kickstart collage course. Ive started , but come to a standstill ~ I cant seem to make choices and have thrown a couple away, but plan to make more varied painted papers.
One more thing I’ve learned: I used to obsess over torn vs. cut edges in my collages; I’ve seen that you don’t, and everything still looks great. So I’m not going to do that anymore!☺️
Thank you so much for all of your wonderful videos... you truly make my day... you are part of my morning ritual😊.Please when you have time send me a link to your online artist prayer group..I would love to join.. Thank you again for all your online joy.
Hi Catherine! Can you tell me if you have a source for your collage (blank) book that you can share. I love the creamy color of the pages. Thank you for sharing all that you have for so long!
Catherine, On the image that didn't work so well (the bare branches on blue) do you think you could scan it and print on a heavier paper to get the image?
The great thing about this technique is that you can incorporate into a collage using an iron ... the iron softens the glue allowing it to adhere papers together without the need for aditional glue application
What a great technique! I could see so many rabbit 🐇 holes to go down - one being using neon acrylic markers to doodle over the patterns.. Thank you for this inspiration, it'll keep me happily playing for weeks - and it will make a change from my usual alcohol 🍸ha ha ☺ 💗💗 much appreciation from a Scottish pensioner .
