My videos are mainly based around classic Minis and maintaining them and sourcing original parts.
I have a Mk1 and Mk3 cooper S along side a 1972 minivan.
If I can encourage people out there living with a disability to take the plunge and get into classic car ownership despite being told its not the most sensible thing my videos will be worth it.
I welcome any feedback and recommendations for future videos.
If anyone would like advise on car adaptions both classic and modern please do get in touch.
Well done mate what a beautiful car, I'm thinking of buying a mini before they get too expensive I'm looking at a 96 one because I had a metro as my first car with the old distributor and carb and it needed to be tuned all the time 😂 so thought injection and no dizzy might be better, I was wondering do you have power steering because you turned so effortlessly? Did you do the Brighton mini run last year?
THE 1st mod I would make is drop the steering wheel, 2nd mod change the seat, 4th would be a leather covered steering wheel. Are you sitting comfortably? Then you can begin! 5th adjustable front shocks, 6th wider alloy wheels (not too wide as the bearings will not stand the extra load), 7th negative camber to front & rear wheels. Improved headlights. After that improve the engine performance and brakes. Wooden wheels went out of fashion on safety grounds (splinters), Improve the brakes before tweeking the engine.
My first car a 850 mini , two tone, green and rust, with the long gear lever, great car , gave me the freedom of having my own car. Second car was a Mini 1275GT amazing car fantastic acceleration, but ran out of power at around 79 / 80 mph. Then I lost the plot and bought an XR2
Just bought a set of the rose petal wheels from minispares. But it doesn’t look like that web site is still working? Anyone know if anyone is making these again???
Hi mate. Recently became a classic mini owner and am enjoying your videos. Interestingly my wife was a Toone with an ‘e’. Anyway, got a plate on retention. Just put it on my Cooper and was wondering who you use to make your plates?
Brilliant system and as you say lets you enjoy and appreciate those Minis. Can't beat the sound of a cooper S. Hope to have one some day. Safe driving 👍
Hi Alex . Haven't sen you for such a long time . Just to sign in and hope all is well . I did see you briefly with a group meeting Classic Car Cave 12 months ago ? Take care my friend .
Bronze yellow, great colour. Friend of my late parents had a new MK3s in late 1979 on a J plate. I liked the fact that it was so close to an 850/ 1000 in appearance. I like the MK3 S best. Did have a 68 MK2 Cooper for a while.
Stumbled on your channel, cracking collection of cars and your videos are brilliant. I have a mini Clubman GT. Random question but car related lol how much did your garage cost if you don't mind me asking, It looks like a recent build and I want a double garage so hoping to get started in spring.
Hi Alex, the adjustment for the seats in the Mk 3 was on the right & side. Used to own 2, a 1969, J reg & a 1971/72. K reg. the 69 car didn’t have the seat adjustment.
