The ensemble "Musica getutscht" not only offers rarely performed repertoire in historically informed interpretations but also presents it within an intriguing context of art history, politics, and philosophy.
Founded in 2020 in Bremen, "Musica getutscht" has since collaborated regularly with renowned top-tier soloists under the artistic direction of lutenist Bernhard Reichel. These soloists include artists such as Emma Kirkby, Hana Blažíková, Marc Mauillon, Franz Vitzthum, Jan van Elsacker, Mechthild Karkow, Marie Luise Werneburg, and Dominik Wörner.
This took me to a strange classical world of chill and anguish … I can’t think of an old old text that came to mind, but the atmosphere matches some of the sense of loss in CS Lewis’s novel of Psyche , TILL WE HAVE FACES and Mary Renault’s THE BULL FROM THE SEA and THE KING MUST DIE
