I have been a subscriber since 2020, before pa kayo nagstart magsearch for a house. You asked for feedback so here goes from someone who lives and works in PH while my parents and sibs are Canadian citizens in Montreal. Pros of Canada 1. Healthcare - even if the doctors there I would say does not have good bedside manners unlike the ones here and you have to queue every time becasue its free, the thing is that it's FREE. If you get sick here in PH, and you don't have an HMO, you might use up all your savings just for meds and hospitalization. 2. Relatively peaceful, organized and less-corrupt government system - you pay taxes here and there, but there you know where your taxes go to. 3. Environmental Sustainability - Canada truly cares for the environment so you have fresher air, way less garbage and lots of opportunities to enjoy nature with thousands of campsites and trails 4. If you work, you can buy the things that is hard to buy here in PH unless you earn above 50K a month, like a house, a car, vacation, gadgets, etc. becasue you have a robust credit facility that makes it easier to get a loan or have a credit card. Cons of Canada 1. I have been there many times and I stayed for months at a time and what I noticed is that the routine of my family is work-sleep-wake up-work again and that is every day. 2. For a Filipino, living in Canada, you will always be a foreigner there. You may acquire citizenship but you will never be white. Based on experience, one of the toughest thing is not seeing my family. We see one anoother once a year but as you grow older, every day counts. I missed so many birthdays, Xmas and New Years. I have a great job so there is no financial reason for me to pursue a life there. The only thing that makes me want to go there is family. But since my folks are retirning in PH soon, I don't even have to pursue Canada anymore. Therefore, it boils down to what is important to you. If you can't afford to be away from your wife and daughters then its eaither you all go home or you all stay there. If you go back here, then you need to be ready for the fact that if you can only get here similar jobs as what you have in Canada then you will only get minimum wage. Can you survive on that if you don't have huge savings? If you decide to stay in Canada then you need to take a look at your lifestyle and prioritize NEED from WANT. Set your financial goals. If its to be debt-free then you may have to give up some of your luxury and focus on paying off your debts 1st. I saw several comments about this as we see some of the purchases your family makes and activities that you do that can be pushed out to give way to paying debts 1st. You can also do what my parents did. Work there for 15 or so years then retire here in the PH with a Canadian provincial and federal pension. Final note, we all work to earn a living but most of us forgets to live. Life is short so don't just focus on working but be clear on why you are working. God Bless you and entire Soliman Family!

Education here is more acceptable worldwide than the Philippines but hindi ko naman sinasabi na hindi maganda education sa Pinas..Mas maraming mga matatalino na Pinoy..But in reality Philippines is still a 3rd world country and our education is not accepted international.. Live simple here in Canada pay your debts put more payment in your mortgage. Buy your needs not your wants.. I bought a condo early 2019 prices of houses/condos was not crazy high compared today..I paid it off middle of 2022..I don't have a mortgage now

The pandemic hit, no one wanted to buy insurance, and then her mother passed away, leading to symptoms of depression. Then there was the unplanned house purchase. As you mentioned, it wasn’t fully within your means, and you needed a friend to cosign. This doubled your housing costs overnight, and in 2022 and 2023, you were in the red, with your expenses exceeding your income. Your mortgage seems to be your biggest burden right now. It’s a tough situation. Maybe it’s time to consider selling the house and getting something more affordable, or even renting for a while until you’re back on your feet financially. I also noticed your lifestyle choices. It’s not wrong to enjoy life with nice things, vacations, or luxury items. We all need a break now and then. But there seems to be a pattern of spending that might not be the best for your situation. For example, the trip to California probably cost a lot, especially after a tough 2023, and viewers can't help but wonder if that was a responsible choice. Even smaller purchases can add up-like branded kitchen appliances, multiple coffee makers, luxury perfumes and bags, Apple gadgets, a $200 DJ speaker, and other items. While these things are nice to have, maybe the timing could be better. I genuinely wish you success, especially for your two young girls. My opinion: Mas okay ang sama sama sa Canada. Mahirap talaga ang buhay, konting tiyaga lang, magbabago din ang buhay ninyo as time goes by. Huwag mawalan ng pag asa. Just work hard, let your kids go to school, save...save, huwag masyadong bumili na hindi naman kailangan. Samahan din ninyo ng dasal ni Mrs. Lakasan ang loob at magkaroon ng goal sa buhay. Mahirap ang buhay sa Pinas, mahirap ang mag kahiwalay. Now, tungkol sa bahay ninyo, that is a good investment. As time goes by, mataas na value ng bahay ninyo. Pag wala kang pera, pipila ka sa govt. hospital para sa services. Isa po yun sa i-consider ninyo. Kailangan din po ng mga anak na merong gabay ng ama lalo na at mga babae ang anak ninyo. May malaking epekto po sa buhay nila kapag adult na sila yung presence ng ama. Life is short po, magkakasama na. Dapat isipin ninyo na hanggat kaya, ang paghihiwalay ang huling pipiliin ninyo. Been there done that, if we can exchange our present situation to yours na magkakasama, we will do it. Were an ofw family for 21 yrs. & counting. Hindi pa ho namin nakakasama ng matagal ang head of the family namin.
