I'd rather use regular insulation for many different reasons like this!! Spray foam is faster, but not better in my opinion!! People using spray foam, spray too much around windows, doors, and other items, and it will create issues affecting the way doors, and windows open, and close properly!

I just want to point this out I’m not saying don’t use spray foam it is without a shadow of a doubt a more superior insulator than fiberglass I’m saying just weigh the deferences between the 2 like the pros and cons and figure out which one is best for you. That being said I am all the time changing stuff in my house and adding electrical and I’m not trying to tear out Sheetrock and reinstall insulation every time.

@@sammysokosammysokoI’m sorry that I hurt your feelings about spray foam. But an oscillating tool in a wall blind that you can’t see in is f*cking stupid best advice is just pry it out by hand with a hammer and flat bar.

@djangough Месяц назад
You gotta take all that foam out to find where the leak is? Can’t isolate a rough location with a moisture meter?
@ygyffc
@ygyffc Месяц назад
The issue with that is the water gets behind the spray foam and travels through the foam this whole wall had to come out because of one leak in the corner that was spreading all the way to the other end of the building.

They have a thermocouple so if they ever go out the gas will shut off automatically. We have never had one go out though other than when they go off In the morning. Then they just have an electric ignition that lights them at night. They also make ones that just stay lit 24/7 but I definitely don't want to pay for the gas they use all day.
