@@ElevateCareInsights thank you so much for your response , my Wife and I recently set up our first children’s home , we were all set for our Ofsted inspection on 15 May .. the Ofsted inspector was not happy with our Buy to let mortgage it must be a business use mortgage and delayed the Inspection, this took us by surprise and had us really confused ?! What exactly must we do ? Change the mortgage to a commercial mortgage ? This can take a while .. I’ve spoken to other Directors of children’s homes and none of them had such trouble with their inspection , all of them seem to be on a standard Buy to let mortgage , I feel hard done by it’s really put us back at this vital stage .. I’ve asked my current mortgage provider for a letter of permission which I’m waiting for an answer … just wondered in your experience what you had to provide to satisfy Ofsted in regards to mortgage and buy to let
