He also said he killed his career, so Tom opened the door to attack family, Mac just did it better.The best way I heard it described was prior to Tom political rap was against the system, Tom raps in favor of the system. I don't think that makes it any better for tom. (if you havent watched the video to explain it, whiplash is a movie about an abusive music teacher who smacked his student in the face to create the metronome pace.)
You also forgot that in Mac's last diss, he implied Nova ghost wrote Tom's diss tracks. So that might also be why he went at her. Also that end section of Lethal Injection sounds a lot like Nova's old flow. Just sayin.

A lot of people have beef with Tom, they call him "hateful" etc - but that's just because he points out the obvious BS and anyone who tells the truth, on purpose or inadvertently, gets attacked in 2024. It isn't just "right wingers" either - look what happens to democrat supporters who concede an inch and call something their side does - they get attacked EVEN WORSE. They literally get called traitors and become enemy #1. The democrats who do that? they're actually upstanding people trying to do the right thing. They are also being beaten into submission and intimidated out of speaking up. That's how they're controlled and I desperately wish more of them would break out of that. It isn't leading them to a positive place. Tom's got talent and even though I'm not a huge rap guy (I did grow up in the 90's and early 2000's, listening to gangsta rap) I like his music - it's got a lot of that sound. I can tell what he grew up on too. He's also not wrong in his songs - and honestly his music tends to reach a bunch of different groups with it's lyrics, not just black or white or democrat or republican - though democrat activist types definitely don't like him very much because a lot of what he calls out is ... their credo, unfortunately. Tom ... while I might not listen to his music often, I will vouch that it's damn good and the sounds in this one nails it.
