Your right, I am after walleye and got the river to myself. Iv been marking some huge cats in deepest part of spillway but my 6# test dont dare drop any bait down there LOL.
No it was a few years back. I have visited quite often and the Kitimit river has never disappointed me. Fishing from a no noise drift boat, is an unbelievable experience. If you subscribe, I will be posting in the next while a fishing of a lifetime, from the same river.
I thought I had it tired out, 4 times to the boat, and it just spooled me back out into the river. Best fighting river fish for me. I will have more salmon fishing coming in the next bit, subscribe to see.
Always release the big fish I catch back to the water. Thank them, so others may have the chance to catch and also release. I caught a fish a number of years back, he had unique tail, that had a certain part missing. Let it go back, 2 years later caught the same fish again, a bit bigger, same tail. Let him go back to the water, catch and release works. Thank you for commenting.
Incredibly big, on this trip in 3 days I caught 11 of them. The largest around 350 lbs. There were some that were much bigger, but couldn’t do much to them, couldn’t reel them up. You have to watch that they don’t pull you in. They can get over 800 lbs.
