You made a mistake he was not in the show of shows he was in the King of Jazz. He did not work for Warner's brother. His film debut was in The Loves of Sonia starring Gloria Swanson 1927. His first talking was the sequence in The Last Warning 1929.

This is because everyone already knows what actually happened. Kennedy and his brother had to silence her. She was already threatening and telling everyone that she was going to expose their sexual relationships with interviews and a tell all book that she was preparing to write. I've known for years why Alice Pearce was replaced, I never liked the Sandra Gould take. I loved that the AP version was sweet and befuddled whereas the SH version was more malicious and mean spirited.
