I had to call my Starbucks several times to check my application. I was told many times that the manager would call me as soon as he could and they even gave me a specific time and day for a call. Sadly, they never followed through, so I went into the store and asked to see him in person. That’s where I was given a 2 second interview and hired on the spot. I was expecting a longer interview but it’s was the basic, “why do you want to work with us”. Not too difficult. But each experience might be different. So good luck to anyone else!!!
Im literally applying since so long and going to every single store that I applied but none of them worked or called me for an interview im almost giving up
I know this is an old video, but I work at the Starbucks target and the pay is great and the scheduling is awesome.but I’m finding myself calling out and not caring as much as I did before. I guess I’m just a bit burnt out, but I have a learning disability and didn’t tell them at first, only when they didn’t train me, and my boss talked to me about my performance. I honestly don’t have a problem with it, I just feel like quitting because I want something more.should I go for it ?
So is the scap program not worth was going to do the English track to become an English teacher I just don’t know if that paper will qualify me for jobs lol. I know you have to work at least 20 hours a week to qualify.
I can't speak on that bc unfortunately idk and dont have experience with that. I'd see if you know anyone who tried the program and what degrees they tried for. I asked around with my coworkers and i barely even knew ppl who did ASU
Personally I believe in general that mothers should just be paid more because they are not working for themselves they are working for a family of either one or multiple children and that's just my opinion 🙄 I know that this does not always work and that there should be qualifications and that people may still try to take advantage of that I know there's a lot of factors that could be concluded in that. But for honest hardworking moms I wish that there was more I JUST REALIZED !!! I don't want to be biased and the truth of the matter is are also are a lot of single hardworking men and dads and they should also be paid more as well there should be a thing that is done where they are able to look into these people's finances as a whole to see if they are getting income from other sources or other people for example CSupport. But truthfully I just believe you're not working for yourself you're really working for your baby your kid or your kids or your entire family and that should be taken into consideration I think that that's one of the things that lacks and why a lot of families and people are struggling so much because it does not make sense and it is completely out of balance
I just started and this was my first week. I had 3 training days then a shift was added randomly on my schedule this week where I was expected to be on my own all day. Absolutely insane. I was snapped at all day for not knowing things. I had 3 days of training where most of it was online. I also only saw the store manager once the entire week and I don't think ill be going back.
I interviewed for the first time I didn’t get the job then went again a few weeks later and got the job the 2nd time. Keep in mind this is my first job so you are competing with people with experience. Even though I don’t have experience I talked about the multiple side hustles that I do. It can be anything it shows work ethic. And elaborate how well you work as a team. You’d make a great barista if you: Elaborate on these they sent me this when I got hired Consider yourself a “people person,” and enjoy meeting others. Love working as a team and appreciate the chance to collaborate. Understand how to create a great customer service experience. Have a focus on quality and take pride in your work. Are open to learning new things (especially the latest beverage recipe!) Are comfortable with responsibilities like cash-handling and store safety. Can keep cool and calm in a fast-paced, energetic work environment. Can maintain a clean and organized workspace. Have excellent communications skills.
I applied to 2 locations near me, I tried calling the #1 location and I can never get ahold of the managers and the #2 location, I have called about 2 times leaving my name and phone number twice, I haven't received a call or email should I go in person or what should I do?
I know Starbucks employees work hard. I don't think Starbucks is the place to make top dollar to compensate your hard work as a floor employee. I'm going to exaggerate here but the reality is that I will never pay $10 for a cup of coffee and this means Starbucks will have a top dollar limit on how much your raise will be. Im sorry.
I'm at Starbucks and I'm going to quit soon once I find another job I've had enough. my training sucked and I hardly learned anything .worst of all my trainer tested me on drinks I was never thought. People I work with are mean and very disrespectful towards me as well as my boss who ignores me or snaps at me. I'm not a person that gives up either but this job is messing with my mental and emotional health so I'll wave a white flag .
Hey everyone. For those who have gotten hired, I was wondering how long did the background check process take? I submitted mine prob around July 6th and have not heard of anything quite yet. I really want to start already so Im hoping that its all normal.
I don't work there but I saw someone else have this same issue and they recommended contacting the store to speak to the manager. sometimes the lose files and stuff
You seem to be under the impression that employees working the same job should be entitled to getting raises on a regular basis. That's not how the world works. You don't automatically get paid more for doing the same job you did 7 years ago. Sure, you've improved your skillset overall, but you're still doing the same stuff you did 7 years ago...running the cashier, making drinks, handling inventory, cleaning tables, etc. But you're still basically the same worker from 6 years ago. You want to be paid more, take that experience from Starbucks and parlay it into a better job somewhere else. That's how it works.
I think preparing for the interview I think you need to focus more on the questions that they're going to be asking you whether than knowing the drinks when you don't even work there but that's my opinion.
hey hope u see this do u have any tips on like being memorable enough? yesterday I had my zoom interview but I think my chances of getting chosen r low bc its me and 10 other people also I'm 16 and zero experience. luckily tho have another interview on Monday!! the manger told me abt how she can only have a small number of minors and that she's willing to take a chance on me! so one more shot at this
my interview is tmrw! im really excited and hoping i do well in the interview, sometimes i get nervous in interviews so im hoping i can get over that and just show them why id be a great addition to their team!!!
i have my interview tomorrow and i've been binging starbucks hiring videos😂 this one has helped me so much, i feel more confident in my answers now. thank you for this video!! (i hope i get the job😅)
hi!i love your video, btw i’m an engineering student i’ll usually use laptop for tasks,i’ll use ipad just for light drawing, netflix, note taking and play some games,do u think 64gb enough for me?thaankss!
i think 64 prolly sounds good! you’ll prolly have to delete stuff after each semester or quarter or you can pay 99 cents to back up stuff every quarter if you wanna keep it
i just got emailed from thr starbucks i applied to that they liked my application and they asked me to confirm and then they called to schedule an interview so now im going there on saturday 😭
Dude i've been working here for a little over a month and I just quit today. My manager wrote me up because I had to call in last week (the only time i've called in) and she got after me for texting people for coverage instead of calling even though she just told me to ask around. She said she was able to find coverage for me in 5 minutes and i asked her who came in for me and it was one of the first people i had texted and asked. They had told me they weren't able to cover for me. I called the store within plenty of time but she said it was short notice even though it wasnt. Im over here like well why tf would that matter if you found someone in 5 minutes anyways? Then she asks me what I've done so far in the store and i said i've only been put on drive thru since my training and I feel comfortable there it's just i tend to forget a few things. And she told me I'm not doing a very good job at all and she's not even going to think about moving me around like everyone else because I need to do better at drive thru. She told me the next time she has to tell me to do better I'm either getting a write up or getting fired. Mind you she'll schedule me two days one week, and then my next shift will be a whole week later. How am i supposed to remember or get better at my job if she's giving such little hours? My availability is also completely open so i'm not sure why she does that. And the whole time she was talking to me about all of this, she was saying "does that make sense?" "do you understand that?" like I'm such a stupid person and can't comprehend simple sentences. This was my last straw at this company as there have been plenty of minor things that have happened, but I was able to put up with. Such condescending, and passive agressive shift supervisors as well. I'm glad i won't be affiliated with that company anymore.
Apart from the drive thru because my shop doesn't have one I feel like I'm reading about myself. I have been there for 2 months and I'm just being kept on till when I should be training to be a shift supervisor, I'm looking for work somewhere else.
@@Shiro92224 I know its 8 months later but how did it go for you? Did you end up quitting? Its been a year since i quit and I'm so glad i left when i decided to. I have a respectable manager now and i'm making way more than i ever did at SB
Wait you can’t split screen apps? Because I thought you could, or is it only for like google tabs. Like can I open my lecture slides which are on canvas, and a note taking app and split screen those two?
Hello, I have a question. If you're applying for a barista position at Starbucks but you're not really a coffee person and you've never made a coffee or any beverage like that, should you mention that when you have the interview?
Nah def make it seems like you’ve done your research. You can like other drinks that aren’t coffee and they’d still like that but they like when you can make suggestions about drinks
