Thank you for this training tool. When will you have the Insight LSAT website up? I am looking forward to integrating these videos and the website together.
you know for someone who is taking the LSAT this week, I have to say you are an actual legend for these videos. Taught me a lot and I am kind of sad that the insight platform wasn't up and running yet but still really appreciate these videos and would genuinely recommend it to anybody who is studying for the LSAT.
I took the test last year with logic games and I guessed at most of that section! I need to raise my score and I'm glad this site appeared in my thread as I need a different approach to this test..looking forward...thank you😊
54:08 while I have got some and not got some answers right. I strongly believed this one should have been D. Group 1 had state of the art features in their car and were confident in their abilities and outperformed group 2. Why should I believe group 1 was nervous about negative outcome when they did not have state of the art features. The car might have had some safety features which the passage didn’t mention and there is no evidence that group 2 is nervous.
The passage isn't about their abilities, it's about the safety features and the accident outcomes so their driving abilities isn't relevant information. In this scenario, if you are told you have accident prevention you should be less worried about getting into an accident because it's less frequent, while if you are told you don't have it then you're more likely to be in an accident despite having the accident features and just not knowing it so it's more of a mental thing. Remember that both cars have the same safety features, but each group was told that different things about the safety features. Hopefully this was helpful!
Any update as to the ETA of the Insight LSAT Training Platform? Thank you for all your help and guidance with the new videos..I’m looking forward to the Training Platform
Hello, is there a way you could match the question types in this series to the ones on the LawHub website? It looks like there are 10 here but about 18 categories on the LawHub site.
I am trying to understand the use of "only" and "only if" in logical statements. Specifically, I am confused about why the contrapositive of the original statement is treated as the equivalent original statement and vice versa. In logical terms, "only" introduces a necessary condition. This means that the part following "only" is required for the statement to be true. For example, take the statement: "Only those who have registered can attend." The word "only" introduces a necessary condition. Therefore, it should be written as A→R (If someone can attend, then they must have registered) and the contrapositive would be ¬R→¬A (If someone has not registered, then they cannot attend). Additionally, I want to confirm that the rules are the same for "only if." "Only if" also introduces a necessary condition, similar to "only". For instance, in the statement: "We can go on vacation only if we save money." The phrase "only if" introduces a necessary condition. Thus, it should be symbolized as V→S (If we can go on vacation, then we must have saved money) and the contrapositive would be ¬S→¬V (If we have not saved money, then we cannot go on vacation). I was taught that the part after "only" or "only if" is always the necessary condition and not the trigger or sufficient condition. The contrapositive will then follow logically by negating and reversing the original statement. Where are the discrepancies coming from?
You are assuming that if they didn't attend then they didn't register. or They could have not registered and still attended. If and only if they register they can attend fits your contrapositive ¬R→¬A
Hello, great video! When possible, can you share a link to the passages that are non LSAT for subject matter practice and share where on law hub exactly we can access the homework? thanks!
I bit the bullet and bought year of Lawhub and it seems like i don't have access to any of the homework questions. They seem to have the preptests 19-94. How would you reccomend we access the 101-105 pretests that you recommend in these videos?
go on Law Hub, click LSAT Prep on the left tab, and third row down right below the line where it says "Full Tests..Drill Sets..Lessons". It says June Test Format and next to it says August Test Format. Click the August one.
Thanks a lot for this series. In your old series you assigned problem sets from the "next 10 official, actual LSAT preptests" book. Wonder if those are still relevant / will you assign from that book again, or due to the exam content and structure change they are no longer an accurate representation of the exam?
Thanks for producing this video. Recently Khan Academy took off all of their LSAT test prep and now the test are seldom found. Can you refer us to a new source where we can find the tests to do the homework? Many thanks again.
