That Tua pass to Devontae…touched a part of my soul that hadn’t been touched..and hasn’t been touched since…cried like a baby while passing the bottle to the party…one of the best moments of my life…
All of these are great choices. I still think the 2021 SEC Championship should be right up there. I know that UGA won the rematch, but Alabama took a team that had dominated everyone on their schedule while they had struggled a bit and were in control most of the way after falling behind 10-0. I still think that was one of Saban's best single-game coaching jobs even though UGA won the rematch.
Going back to his LSU days, Saban was 11-1 in the SEC Championship game and his only loss was to a team that went on to win the National Championship. It is a remarkable statistic considering this was a neutral site and that it was rare that Alabama played opponents that had little chance to win - maybe 14, 15, and 16...but the rest of the games were against incredible opponents. Just a remarkable coaching career!
Inspirational is making good decisions. I hear he is doing better in camp. Hope so. Team wanted him. So instead of developing Simpson, the team wanted him. Love the last play in Michigan game. Pretty much says it all. Fake news can talk people into thinking Biden is good. Maybe your work for Milroe will work too. Maybe he can see the field now, make good decisions, not hold the ball too long. Or, maybe like last year, we play him anyway, because the team wants him instead of a natty. Sorry, I watched the games.
Great video and narraration was great. My top 5 moments: 5.Kenyan Drake's return 4.Blake Sim's Iron Bowl 3.Shut out vs LSU. Hightower's celebration and LSU's defense sucking wind. 2.Jalen vs Georgia. Saban's (almost) emotional in post game interview. 1.SEC championship 09 vs FL Ingram and Julio tying up the gator on the sideline. You should do a recap of the 2020 perfect season.
Counting down the seconds in the 2012 SECCG as UGA couldn’t stop the clock, screaming “IT’S OVER!” and knowing Notre Dame would had no shot a month later. That’s a vivid memory for me
3rd Generation Alabama fan, have been blessed to be born into one of the most rewarding fan experiences that one could only dream of having. Roll Tide!
Just listening to the players on Alabama is wild. It feels like every time a player on the Tide is mentioned, it's a future NFL All-Pro. These mfs were so deep that Josh Jacobs was playing special teams, and he wasn't even the returner lmao. Every year they were basically an above average NFL team in most aspects.
@@mas5867 "Only 18-18 against 11 win P5 teams". Brother, your expectations are unbelievably skewed lmao. 11 win teams are championship caliber teams. Any coach would kill for that kind of record, and even the opportunity to put themselves in situations where they're playing 36 championship caliber teams over the course of their tenure, and maintaining a neutral record.
@@mas5867 Dude 0.500 is considered great, when it’s against fuckin 11 win teams, for damn near 20 years. That is absolutely insane high level consistency that you’re taking for granted. Teams would only beat Alabama in their best performance of the year or even the decade. They get beat by Alabama, oh well, **that’s standard**. Auburn, it’s kick six. LSU, it’s the 2019 team. Name a coach in the last like 4 decades who played as many 11 win SEC teams as Saban did while maintaining an 87% win percentage and getting six national fuckin titles in the process at one school. Cause I can’t. Also, “18-18 Cincy win is removed” is hilarious bruh. Just remove a few data points lmao why not. If playing against the best playoff team of all time has to be factored in, why isn’t playing against the worst playoff team of all time lol? So in reality, he’s positive all time against 11 win teams in 37 games, that’s absolutely fucking absurd. I can’t name anyone else with that kind of record in recent memory.
@@mas5867 Breaking news, his record against national champions was worse than his record against non national champions. Idk if there are any coaches that this doesn’t apply to with the same size that Saban has (i.e. not some random FCS coach with a 100% percentage from one game or some shit you know lol). Obviously records against national champions are gonna be worse, national champions were the best team in the nation lol. But like I said, name one who did it better. And “enabler” tf he’s retired lol. I’m not even a Bama fan, not even close, I’m more of a Frank Beamer man myself, I’m just saying the guy deserves his flowers. No one else even comes close to the sustained high level success he achieved. You have these outlandish expectations that don’t apply to a single coach ever lol
@@mas5867 Please bro, just answer the question I've asked like 5 times. I don't care about cherry-picked single game records against random coaches in the most difficult games of the season, because no coach is perfect. Every coach loses football games. Every coach has negative records against some programs. What I care about is comparing him to other coaches. You say he's overrated, I'll ask again, this time in caps because apparently you didn't see it last time: **WHO IS BETTER?** Who has done it better than Saban? Name a coach outside of Tuscaloosa, ever, who has Saban's accomplishments and whose reign matches Saban's. You expect him to have some magical undefeated record against 11 win teams? Name the coach that played 37+ games against 11+ win teams and won over half of them. You expect him never to lose a national championship game? Name the coach who has won more. Name the coach who has been to more? You can't do anything of this, because Saban is the one one to have done it, because he is the best to ever do it, especially in the modern game. But please try. Give me your case for who you think rivals him.
@@mas5867 Holy shit I can’t do this anymore unless you’ll answer the question I’ve asked like five fucking times at this point. I bolded it and put it in fucking all-caps and you still didn’t read it. I’m not responding to your next comment unless you specify the coach outside of Tuscaloosa you think has achieved as much as Nick Saban. And every fucking national championship has caveats. Going backwards in order: Michigan’s sign stealing, Georgia playing TCU, Georgia lost the SEC Championship in 2021, Alabama won during the COVID year, LSU played a cupcake OOC, yada yada yada. Also, how is Alabama not winning the SEC title then winning the championship somehow delegitimizing to their win? Tell me again that Alabama’s 2017 chip has less legitimacy than Georgia just having to beat fuckin TCU just because Alabama didn’t win the SEC championship that they didn’t even play in. Does it not tell you something that the only teams to beat a non conference champion to win the NC are SEC teams? I feel like beating a playoff-caliber SEC team holds significantly more weight than just beating some P12 or ACC cupcake team that had an easy path to the playoffs. I don’t think this is the case every time, but saying a national championship is somehow invalid because you went in with a loss is ridiculous. All this to just say: every possible run to a chip is illegitimate if you consider one thing going their way to be completely delegitimizing. Now please, WHO DO YOU THINK IS BETTER ALL-TIME THAN SABAN?
Growing up in the dark ages, 2009 SECCG will always be my favorite game. It was the first time I was ever able to definitively say “we have the best team in the country.”
I loved the hit Metchie put on that guy who intercepted his ball! One of my all time favorites! He absolutely leveled that guy! Real fb . Not the pansy ass look at every damn play
Hey Georgia fans. Notice how many times Bama beat yall?. Same old same old. Yet yall still run that mouth. Proofs in the pudding. No matter how you slice it or try to spin it. It is all right there for you to see. Bama is Georgia's daddy. There is no doubt. You can talk all the BS and brag about this and that but is quite evident. Pretty much always have been.
@Promisebreaker222 I understand where you're coming from, but this time is different. I'm never that cocky fan, but Bama fans have brought it out of me. The weeks leading up to the CFP semis, Bama fans were talking SO MUCH CRAP online. They were talking about we're Bama this, we're Bama that! We're gonna destroy Michigan. I even work with a Bama grad who was talking so much trash. He called in sick the two days after 27-20 BTW. I found out real quick how cocky and arrogant Bama fans are. Bama fans are worse than Michigan State, Ohio State, and Notre Dame fans COMBINED! Yes, I get it. Don't do that as a Michigan fan. But not this time. 27-20 and f**k Bama and their cocky fanbase. Bama fans created this monster. So glad Harbaugh put his size 12 Michigan Jumpman cleat up Saban's booty before he sent him packing to retirement.
I feel ya, but even tho it had CFP implications,it wasnt a "big time" win", we "survived" lol also it wasn't a heavy-weight fight between 2 top teams, and we didnt play very well at all,we kept Auburn in the game w missed scorning opportunities and bonehead miscues. It shouldn't have been close at all but also it was Ironbowl and throw out records, we all know records don't matter. This wasnt the case this time, we missed huge opportunities,it should've and would've been a blowout like it should've been.jus like Georgia the next week, we DOMINATED that game from mid 1st quarter on.Score didn't show that bc of missed opportunities, dropped pick 6s and few dropped TDs.wouldve also been a blowout.
More or less this was a tribute to big time wins,in big time situations, against top teams. Milroes money shot was more of a survival situation lol don't get me wrong, it was a big play and big moment, but the circumstances were completely diff in the other games shown. Still its one of the top plays not jus of this season, prob a top 5 Bama play too
@@sonofthesouth89rolltide So negative. That play was epic and one that will be remembered in Crimson lore. On top of that, it got the W. Who the hell wants to hear all they did wrong in the game? Against all probability, they found a way to win. You obviously never actually played sports.
@@littlemikeism wtf u talkin bout man? What does it matter if I played sports or not???????? Everything I said was facts. As far as "bad stuff" goes, those are washed away with the W. But it's still apart of the "Nightmare in Jordanhare". It doesn't happen if the bad stuff doesn't. It's not jus grave digger play, just like 2nd n 26 isn't just "2nd and 26". It's a full story that makes the plays and the results of said play that gives it meaning. 4th 31 without everything that happend before is just a TD on 4th n 31. With all the adversity is what makes those plays meaningful. I'll use ur sayin "you never played sports" or u would understand how facing adversity like that makes a play/win mode meaningful. Once again, without all those screw ups on our end, 4th 31 doesn't happen. It's a FULL story not jut 1 play.
The amount of Great Backs UA has had is Amazing to me. Ingram, Richardson, Lacy, Yeldon, Henry, Scarborough, D. Harris, Jacobs, N. Harris, Gibbs, McClellan, now Miller and Haynes
The very first major win in the Nick Saban era was to overcome the Gators. Saban and the Tide did that in a hurry, year 3. That was truly the turning of the Tide. Them Gators were loaded.
