I wonder if aftermarket tuners have released any 93 octane tunes for this engine in this state of tune? Usually modern turbo powertrains can benefit massively when tuned to run on exclusively 93 octane pump gas
Smaller wheel&tire setup of the trail boss benefits massively from the engine mapping designed to propel 35" true all terrain tire setup - massive increase in sidewall also significant tire width increase. I wouldn't be surprised if this Trailboss with the ZR2 tune routinely went from 0-60mph in under 5.8 seconds.
What gets me is that the FORD RANGER now have an optional 2.7 V6 engine. The same size as the GMC CANYON and CHEVROLET COLORADO but theirs is a Four Cylinder.
Need gearing or alot of torque (or both). My Ram 5.7 w/3.92 gears would spin them anytime I mashed the skinny pedal. My Silverado 5.3 takes a bit more effort, but I think the computer is still inhibiting it even with TC off.
planning to buy a zr2 hopefully this year. nice vid. idk if u have but i believe u said in another vid if u were going to do a 0-60? thatd be cool, Thanks!
@@powertoolexpert6999 that fs56 won’t last too long then. Unfortunately too fragile for commercial use. Carb was burned out of ours within a couple years. Will probably give someone more than enough time to replace with a better one though!
