I made a vegan version from soy powder from your recipe and added lactic acid and I made the best ranch dressing! It really tasted like making it from the Hidden Valley Ranch packets that I used to make. Loved it so much and I love having this where I can make when I want to. Thank you!!!
Wooooah. Don’t show this to my pups. Their cheese tax looks like one shred of cheese! (I’m stingy) If they see this they will leave me in a heartbeat- they are poodles. They LIKE food. Open the fridge and before you can close it, there will be noses silently appear. Surprisingly we’ve only had two accidents. 1- freshly baked pie at Christmas and 2- a while pat of butter 1 don’t ask!
Noooooo never freeze vegetables that are saturated in water they become much what's wrong with this girl and she didn't even peel the eggplant I can't watch oh my goodness please go away little girl who told you you could cook..
Don't Wash/ Refrigerate Potatoes until right before you use them. Washing them like this you destroy the natural waxy coating on the skin causing them to rot. Refrigerating them is too moist of an environment, Also leading them to Rot. Both of which can lead to them putting off a Toxic gas.
The potatoes have actual dirt all over them, so maybe don't soak your lettuce and stuff with that, as you're actually putting those pretty much clean veggies in dirty water. Just soak the other veggies first, and you'll notice the water is basically clean; then wash the potatoes in that water after 😁😁 i just don't want you eating lettuce with potato dirt added to it 😅
Please read this!!! I need help!! I saw you buy ginger!! I love and use ginger daily and lately in every store I get it from is this weird grey/green color inside even when it’s fresh from the store hard and not moldy! Have you ever noticed that? I ate a little of it and didn’t get sick but I can’t get past the color and not knowing what the problem is! I can find anything online just how to identify rancid ginger. I’ve tried keeping it in the fridge I’ve tried keeping it with the potatoes under the cabinet I’ve used it immediately after buying I’ve let it sit for weeks after buying I’ve tried so much and they’re all green!!! I’ve heard of hybrid ginger being in our supermarkets but idk if this is it!! You ever hear of like pickling garlic and there’s a chemical in it that turns the garlic green? It’s still safe to eat and happens in Asian countries in the winter I think. I just know you’re very hands on with your produce and I was hoping you’d have some insight!!!! Sorry for the long ramble! This is a month long quest I’m on I miss my Ginger!!! 🤭🫡🫰🏼✨
Thank you for this because I'm trying to teach myself how to make everything from scratch, cause I feel ok when I know whats going in it. But do I have to use voka or can I use something else ?
I love Dr. Bronners I’m going on using it for over 20 yrs I always used the peppermint but I’ve gotten into the lavender one for making cleaners and upholstery vacuum solution and stuff
For plain simple syrup you don’t even have to boil it in a pot! Just make sure to use a heat safe dish to mix it in and the right ratio and you can just dissolve the sugar in hot water you boiled in a kettle by mixing it. Be careful if you heat the water in the microwave though because you can accidentally create superheated water (yes this is a real thing) and you wouldn’t know it was even hotter than boiling (212F / 100C). It wouldn’t be bubbling or anything and can suddenly bubble and splash you or even explode and cause very bad burns. Just in general please use caution when microwaving water.
If you wanna lower your waste even more, you can get the doctor Bronner’s bar of soap, grate it down with the cheese grater and very gently simmer it with filtered water until it turns into the liquid Castile soap that you know in love.
That’s cute but I also reuse the big bottles and some places sell dr.bronners in bulk so if you are stuck with the container you can just refill it with more solution if you have a place like that around
