Wow I can't believe they booked too many people on the tour to fit you in the same accommodation. As the others had to get a boat to their accommodation (like we did) and you didn't - does that mean you stayed on the opposite side of the river?
So Grandcat hadn't taken any notice of me sharing about our trip to Borneo and the photos I had taken of Uncle Doug's name at the war memorial. Glad you got to do the river fish thing (it was cancelled on our trip due to the river being flooded and we also didn't go to the tea resort). Seems like your tour was much more like the itinerary stated than ours was. Hope it continues to be good.
Looks like people got quite close to the penguins. N told me that you had said that you were told you had to stay 2-3 car lengths away from them at all times.
