Just a guy who loves baseball. I make videos on TikTok and RU-vid about all things ballparks, uniforms, news, and more, and I'm documenting my own travels and experiences along the way! Follow along for some non-stop baseball content!
Sometimes i wonder why MLB stadiums bother having such awful seats in. Is the ticket revenue from like the small number of obstructed cant see shit seats really worth pissing a fan off? I guess the easy sad answer is yes.
If you’re doing worst seats in NFL stadiums then you have to go to Northwest Stadium (formerly FexEd Field) to find the worst seat in the worst stadium!
Not only that, but football really feels like a "comfort" sport, even if you don't have a favorite team. It usually has gatherings around important games (Thanksgiving, the Super Bowl),there's the food...you don't get that with other sports - and other sports saw that, and tried to claim the other holidays. At most, the NBA has come closest with Christmas Day (MLB fails at that SPECTACULARLY,despite having Memorial Day,the 4th of July,AND Labor Day all to themselves)
@jeffmashburn7500 Probably not with this new bad playoff structure that appears to be punishing 1st round bye teams and rewarding WC teams. How great would it have been if last year's WS was HOU vs LA, or ATL vs BAL. But no, instead we got 2 WC teams that got hot at the right time and then one of them ran out of steam. Boooooooring!
I'll say this, Toronto's good but not special. The biggest problem is the corporate owners have zero sense of history. You had Joe Carter's World Series Walk Off Home run and nothing to commemorate it. Not a statue of a player to be seen, a statue of Ted Rogers who could not be further from a titan of the game. Concessions are ok, views are cool being at the face of the CN Tower and getting to watch the dome close, the renos it has had have been fruitful, but not special. Say nothing that most fans are fair weather fans, which playing in the AL East means it's seldom packed.
The old Boston Garden. There were seats behind the goal, where the upper level came down so far, that you couldn’t see past centre ice. And from the upper level, you couldn’t see the goal below you. 😮
I once got put behind a pillar when I went to an NBA game, and was absolutely furious when I got there cos it never showed an obstruction on the map. It was also before you could look at the view from your seat online.
