Welcome to the channel. You will find a lot of Automotive Repair information here since I am an automotive instructor at a California Community College. Also I do a lot of repairs outside of work, mostly automotive or similar from small engines to large diesel equipment and everything in between. Additionally I occasionally share projects I am doing around the home including a second house and shop/garage that I built.
At that point use a small screw and tap it in to start and ther use a drill to drive it in a few threads, not to deep. One its a few threads in use a hammer and pull it out.
@imadfree being that far from the downstream o2 I don't see the o2 picking up on the oxygen pulses. I think no. If it's close to the sensor, possibly yes.
When you jack the axle up keep one wheel on and raise the stand on the other side so that the axle is tilted away from the side you’re working in - then the old stops leaking out 👍
Do you have a video of you removing the fuel rail? I have a 2015 suburban and I'm changing the injectors now but the right fuel rail is giving me a hard time.
@RustyRoper there is a special puller tool actually. But this is the exact reason they say to replace the injectors on that bank anytime you pull them. There will be carbon on the injector tips and when you pry them out it is likely to damage the injectors.
Hello I have an Lexus is250 2006 with 125k miles and I have the p7214 and p0781 codes the gearbox is change only first 3 gears and I will want to know if my transmission need an rebuild?Thank you for your time!
Hello, Paul. I am dealing with a misfire issue. I can see oil in the spark plug threads, and in some wells, but not on the coils or around the coil areas. Do you think it is internal or a bad spark plug o ring? One more question, why do you get smoke from a smoke machine coming out of the oil filler cap or oil filler? How does the smoke get to the pcv valve? Thank you.
@bbmd2200 if I recall correctly that has coil on plug where the valve cover seals to spark plug tubes. The valve cover has to seal to the tubes. The seals are most likely not sealing. They come in a valve cover kit. Doesn't sound like internal cylinder such as ring leakage. That doesn't get to the threads only the electrode.
@@paulkelley86 The thing is that there is no oil on the plugs. Usually, the coil is covered with oil when the tube seal is bad. I replaced the valve cover with cheap parts less than a year ago. I am kind of curious to know how the oil gets to the threads. I don't know how the internal of an engine works. Thank you for your help.
My clutch problem is different. When it's all the way up it makes a tiny noise but when I press it down a little the noise dissappears. Only happens in gear 1. 2 3 4 5 6 feels normal to drive. Anyone have any idea? Emergency to fix or can I wait a littl?
Do you know anything about turbo compounding? Where the turbo spins a fluid coupler connected to the crankshaft. The idea is you get more torque with no penalty in gas mileage. I don't know why it isn't used instead of turbo charging.
@L110508 nothing on the control arm is adjustable, so in theory it should not NEED an alignment, but it is recommended to do an alignment after a suspension part change. If it were an adjustable control arm, it would NEED an alignment because when we install it we can't be sure we have it in the original adjustment position. Also it would have no bearing on the rear, but as a maintenance recommendation to prolong the tires I would do a 4 wheel opposed to a front. Recommended.
Thanks Mr.Paul Kelley..much love from Uganda Kampala 🇺🇬..am currently pursuing courses on Automatve technology these videos are helping me alot in my Studies..
Thank you for this video! I picked up a used 324 and cannot bust loose the spark arrester plug! Also - where do you drain the hydraulic oil from? Cheers from Vancouver
My crosstek has a clicking sound when turning, I had the cv axles checked and they look great. The lower control arm bushings are very worn probably 30% torn. Could this be causing the clicking sound.
0:52 you know, i got tboned at a low speed once, the car was "fixed" by a body shop, but after that the front left strut broke 4 times in like 2 years. i always wondered if that accident damaged the frame in some way to put more wear and tear on that strut.
Hi, Thanks for the informative video . Need your expetise for the following porblem. I do hear this metal scraping sound while driving after clutch change (Changed pilot bearing, plate, disk, release bearing, fork). 1. While driving, the noise happens only when - I release my accelerator at around 80 - 90 kmh (4th and 5th gear) 2. While driving, the noise goes away if - I depress the clutch (disengaging) while driving at 80 - 90kmh - I shift the gear in neutral while driving at the same speed 3. Car stationary at idle, there is no weird sound when I disengage or engage the clutch. I have no problems shifting gears while driving. Could this be a bad installation or my transmission input shaft causing this issue? Appreciate for the help.
Their fuses are, well, half assed. With as many micro controllers as that car has, it surprises me they didn't use a resetable breaker tied to an io on the mcu.
@JustinMiales lol, point taken on the microphone. Actually I have one but this is a 5 hour class condensed into 2-3 hours of lecture and I have had the microphone not last the full 5, and when it dies the audio is gone, silent. So it's a risk. The people paying tuition are the priority, they could hear me fine. So you know, whether you or anyone else listens go this, not important to me. I'm putting it out there for people who don't have the means to attend a class. You have an entitled attitude and I suggest you check your heart before complaining about audio quality on a "crap" non monetized video offered to anyone looking to increase their understanding and go for certifications in pursuit of self improvement. That's all the time I have for trolls today, got another class to teach, bye.
