I am a retired public junior high school art teacher living in Taiwan. I have accumulated 27 years of professional teaching experience in watercolor. I have also held personal exhibitions and group exhibitions of central artists. My specialty is transparent watercolor painting and soft ceramic creation. When I retire in 2020, I also hope that through the RU-vid channel, I can share all my watercolors and the fun of creating clay pottery with you, so that you can have a deeper understanding of these two projects.
Beauty is not in the technique, tools, or materials, but it can't be manifested without them. When people try to understand how beauty comes about, they often focus on a particular technique or try to copy another's style. However, these are merely the means of transport for beauty, not beauty itself. Seek to paint with honesty, be critical, and reject what doesn't meet your own standards of beauty. Cultivate skills to realise the beauty that moves you, but don't be 'made' of skills, tricks, or techniques.
