Try holding the power volume button and then hold the fast forward or Skip button and it should reset the black screen. I have that problem in my 2019 F150 all the time.
Did you know some of the Ford trucks don't recognize LED lights on a trailer. Even with a tow package. You need a cheater adaptor or if you have a good dealer, they will replace the faulty wiring harness at the rear of the truck. But most dealers will say there is nothing wrong, it must be your trailer 😉 BS.
Here's something you didn't know. A borrower becomes a slave to the lender. A woman enjoys being sprawled out on the hood of a 86 Jeep probably more so then on the hood of a new Ford. How the hell do you get up under a woman enough to get her up that high anyway?
Our new work truck is a 21 ford 6.7 with the 6 speed trans and it averages the same 17-18 With a load (12k usually) it’s 12-13ish Mpg. And that’s with the extra power you really want. Next channels like this one will be trying to convince people electric trucks are awesome lol.
Electric vehicles are a joke and I will never own one. If you seen tfl with the electric truck they used they had to charge it before they went up ike gauntlet and just the imagine the battery replacement cost and the maintenance you have to do to them.
I have a ram 3500 dually, and I’ve never seen less than 14.4 around town, and 19.5 on freeway, so what’s the benefit of a gas guzzler when fuel prices diesel and gasoline are now the same?
WHOOOOO 30000 miles lol.. Make a video when you get 100-150-200000 miles.. All these people buy these big dollar trucks and cars and think their vehicle brands are the best thing ever on the road and they trade or sell them before they get 60,000 miles.. lol!
Even Yugos ran pretty good for 30,000 miles. When Godzilla gets 100K, 200K, 300K and 400K miles on the trucks, that's what people will want to know about.
They also want to know about the whole truck itself too. It's also a new engine and transmission and it's the earlier ones. I think if the truck is taken care of this will probably last more than 400k miles.
I think you can reasonably expect a gasser like this to run close to 200k without needing serious maintenance. But, the engine is new so I guess you never know. There may be a gremlin or two in there no one knows about.
Maybe it's the long bed and what gear ratio do you have? I have a short bed with 3.55. Try getting a tonneau cover I got more mpg with it. I think since you have a long bed more air can be captured inside the bed.
Christ we have fallen far. You should have NO problems at 30,000 miles. NONE! All these manufacturers charging 40, 50, 60 grand for trucks that are garbage. Sad.
Thanks for the report. I just ordered a 2022. It’s a three month wait. I would have bought a used one, but say a 2020 with 20,000 miles on it are selling for about $5000 more! It’s crazy out there and nobody has any idea when it will improve.
Order my 2022 7.3 Jan 15th this year I'm about 3 - 5 days away from taking delivery, chip shortage, plant shutdowns boarder baracades high fuel prices and war ford still hit the 3monty mark with no issues 👌👌👌👌
I love my 2022 F350 DRW 7.3 Godzilla, 13.2 Avg, however.... when I'm pulling our 16.5K 5th wheel. 6.1 MPG average! I knew it would drop, but didn't think it would be in half! Oh well, if you want to play with the big toys you have to pay the big price!
There was like 5 rough shift into gear like from park to drive or reverse. But after that happened it's never done it again. That happened at 6,600 miles. the last 23,400 miles have been really smooth shifts and no problems. I'm just wandering if it has something to do with adaptive learning that it does.
Hold the power button and right arrow button at the same time.....20 sec the ford logo should pop up and your good to go ......look up a video on RU-vid they show for all types of vehicles
Congratulations! I have 3.55 and the towing doesn't disappoint. It will be even better for towing because of the 4.30. I wonder how much more torque you can feel with that.
@@jonnyg44 yeah I don’t see how I can. It feels like my 1500 was a sedan/van with a bed on the back now. It’s hard to see it as a “truck” at this point.
@@zilla7.324 honestly I was on the fence about 4.30s and think I maybe should have gone 3.55s. The 4.30 is way overkill for my 7,500 trailer. I only went 4.30 bc I hope to move up to a 10-12.5k toy hauler one day 🤞
@@jc7435 that's why I got my hd truck because if run into something I need to tow I already have it unlike getting what I need. For example I need a truck to tow 5k so I'll get a truck that tows 7k but then you decide to go bigger then you have to find a more capable truck. I just say to most people get a truck that makes you self sufficient even if it's over kill.
The remote start on my key fob wont start my 2022 f250. I get a red blinking light instead of a green one. According to the manual, I can go into settings then vehicle settings then into key fob settings. Key fob settings does not show on the menu.. Do you know a back door into settings? The fob worked in the first couple weeks but stopped. Somehow the menu was modified. The first appointment available at the dealership is 2 months out. Frowny face, frowny face.
If you have the Ford pass app you might be able to start it with that. If that works it will take a little longer but at least maybe you have some way of remote starting it. Do you have the digital cluster? I'm not sure if there is any difference between the 4" and 8" cluster screen with the settings, I do remember seeing a time limit in my 8" cluster. I'll play around with it to see if I can find a solution.
@@zilla7.324 Thanks for the reply. I do have the Pass app and use it. The 22 Laredo has the big screen and Sync4. I tried to reboot with the audio on/off while pressing the fast fwd. It only rebooted the audio system. Frustrating waiting almost 3 months for what is probably a 5 minute fix. This stuff should be documented and posted somewhere by Ford if they can't provide timely service.
@@jonathansmith6390 I'm still waiting on a driver side mirror and then it needs to get paint done. Probably been 7-8 months waiting for it. It's frustrating but to me that's been way to long. I have an email of them asking for what kind of mirror I have so if your wanting to document it start communicating with email that way you have a copy. By the way I wanted the new mirror on before they paint just in case it gets scratched.
@@jonathansmith6390 I went to settings, advanced settings, vehicle, remote start and check to see if system has a check mark. If it doesn't I think that means it's off. Check it and see if that works. If it does work keep your appointment for the dealer to check it just to make sure everything is working properly.
Congratulations! If you plan on putting a cat back on it I've got a MBRP exhaust on my truck and it's perfect for daily driving and towing. I do have 3.55 gears so the rpm is a little lower than 4.30 but I don't think it will make that much of a difference.
Have you seen the death wobble yet lol???I just tried to buy a 2019 power stroke and had to take it back bc the fucking whole front end is now fucked bc of that bullshit
I went in a dealership and they said they didn't find anything. Did a sync update haven't had it happen yet but I had 3 tabs open for radio stations and the 3rd section on the last 3 you can choose can't be switched to it no matter what you do to try and get to it. Touch, button or knob nothing works.
@@michaelhughfox I used FORSCAN on my 2019 F-150 to do that and it worked fine. I was also able to make the mirrors retract when I lock the doors, display actual numerical numbers above the gauges, have the windows roll down while holding the unlock and more. Deactivating the power points timeout feature had been a challenge though.
What packages does yours have as an XLT? I noticed you have the really nice instrument cluster. Is that part of the XLT premium package? I'm getting ready to order one in the next couple months. Really nice pickup!
I don't have the xlt premium package. I think someone told me you get it with the pro trailer back up assist and or something else but I can't remember.
I get 12.5 around town drive with my first tank in my 2022 with 4.30 gears. All stock. Has 450 miles on her lol I didn’t buy it for gas mileage tho. Just wanted to share my info.
I'm looking into getting a 7.3L myself and only heard good things and cheaper to maintain as well... Just waiting for this chip shortage to get fixed asap. Nice video!
You also can have the two front windows go down with your key fob by holding unlock for 4 seconds. You also can open your tailgate if you have power drop tailgate with the door entry pad on the door by pressing 5/6 after your code is entered. You also can put your transfer case in neutral by turning your 4wd knob from 2H to 4L 5 cycles.
I didn't know about the power tailgate with the door pad and for the transfer case do you just switch 2h to 4l 5 times back and forth? Is it supposed to be for flat tow? On my cluster there is setting where you activate flat tow that way and it tells you what to do.
@@zilla7.324 Putting the transfer case in neutral is great if your towing it with you rv on all 4 wheels. It complexly disengages the transmission from the wheels. If it’s a 2wd you would have to remove the drive shaft to achieve this. Also good if you being towed with the front wheels up.
I've never owned a diesel to know for sure but I know the diesel has more maintenance (because of the emission equipment) and def fluid to worry about. The diesel is 8k more than godzilla but the 6.2 is standard. I think if you plan on keeping it a long time then the diesel will probably be cheaper in the long run. Both of the gas options take 87 octane. Someone else who has owned a diesel and gas might be able to tell you for sure.
I don't have those. I think it was a front camera and the cab brake light camera that I had recalls on. I did read about the transmission and windshield recall and it's a lot to do on the transmission recall. So far my transmission still shifts smooth as butter and never really had an issue with it. Right now I'm at 18,000 miles.
the transmission recall doesnt apply to most 250-350's, and these transmissions are so far proving to be pretty stout, we havent had one come into the dealership in the last 2 years for anything other than a reprogram once in a while. The windshield recall is a weather strip, and gets repaired in a couple hours.
@@northernmissfit7646 my truck was built in the time span of the recalls specification but I don't have a recall on mine. Still shifts like the first day I picked it up.
I looked at a 2021 F-350 SXT Supercab recently, for a MSRP of $50K I couldn’t believe the cheap flimsy plastic fuel tank door, how flimsy the aluminum body panels felt , how small the front radius arms were compared to my 2018 Ram’s 2500 are . Smaller front driveshaft too! No spray in bed liner for $50K? I do like the 7.3 V8, & 10 speed transmission however , but unfortunately that’s all.
Have you looked at another f-350 to see if it's like the one you've seen recently? My gas door is painted metal with a plastic attachment on the inside for the gas cap and it feels really solid and well made. The body panels feels solid as well. The reason some people don't get bed liners is because 1 they can get it added cheaper elsewhere or 2 they don't care. You don't have to pay msrp for the truck. I went from dealers to dealers and have them give me prices and then I used those prices to compete for a better deal especially if you know 2 dealers that are really competitive to get the deal then sometimes you can get a really good price.
Not to mention the interior of the ram is the cheapest polished dog turd I’ve ever seen or felt. Rams are like a bodybuilder that skips leg day. All the upper body strength but nothing to hold it up.
@@mooch6666 what year ram are you talking about? I've got a 2021 f250 but my brother just bought a 2022 ram 3500 dually in whatever their version of King ranch is called with the saddle leather and I thought it was beautifully designed. Of course that's a fairly high end model compared to my xlt but it's definitely a nicer design.
