Great video, but wow. I did hear that Sacrifice was worse than Sanctuary, but I did not know it was by that much. It really should have been a different IP, rather than the sequel.
(Edit #4) Great video, by the way. Please excuse me for the ramblings below: I have very strong opinions on this game. I played Salt and Sacrifice close to launch and beat the main game plus all the optional mage battles. Back then, it was a disappointing mess: the narrative about sacrifice barely tied into the gameplay (if at all), the mobility upgrades were glorified keys, the NPCs had zero depth or even characterization, and the grind for consumables and upgrade mats was horrifically tedious. I can't say I didn't have _any_ fun, but it was an absolute slog past the first quarter or so. That said, has it gotten any better in the past few years? Salt and Sanctuary is one of my favorite games ever, so I know Ska Studios are capable of great things.
"I walked to this boss, i killed it in 10 seconds. Oh yeah, i upgraded my dagger. I walked to this boss, i killed it in 10 seconds. I killed this boss next. Then this boss. Also this boss."
Thing will Crystal Sage is if he has that homing orbs you can just stand to its side and the orb on exacrly his opposite side will never shoot it will just stay there. It is an easy cheese and very satisfying. You have to land a few attacks then move a little to keep your position exactly on the other side of the orb. This way he cannot teleport either. He gets stuck in an loop of getting staggered again and again. I tried this once and got him down to 90%. But I dodged once and the orb finally flew off. And the old Demon King's final moments show that demons are a dying race. Their time is coming to an end. Chaos Flame is almost gone and so are demons which is kind of sad considering demons in this game have a very unique settings. They don't become hostile to Gwyn or his followers. Gwyn actually demonized them and attacked them first. They had a really overwhelming presence in dark souls games having culture and society. About Aldrich you just have to remember one rule. Keep close to him and whenever he teleports run exactly to the opposite corner to be close to him where he is appearing. This way he never uses spells or his arrow shower attack. And his melee attacks suck.
Oh man, I remember trying to go for a dagger only run the first time I played the game. I got stuck on the dragon and ragequit the game. Good video bud!
Finished a challenge today (Only Bandit's Knife. Basically right now) after beat the Broken Straight Sword Challenge, its a amazing weapon to use (strong dps and insane bleed), the hardest boss for me in this challenge: Lorian and Lothric (dont remember a lot of Lorian moves and Lothric' s miracles sucks) and Dragonslayer (scenario damage because laser, fireballs and bleed immunity, but with Gold Pine Resin its a really good fight) the rest of the challenge its wonderful even Soul of Cinder with a incredible weak for bleed damage, i like that type of "low damage" challenge because i learn SO MUCH with all the bosses fights who normally i can kill easily with a op build, after that damage for example i can kill Yhorm without Storm Ruler and i dont have more problems with Aldrich and Lothric/Lorian moves, GG bro and awesome video! Keep doing videos like this, congratulations from Brazil lol
