Hab sie am Samstag auf dem Bardentreffen gesehen und gehört. Leider nicht mehr so "ursprünglich" wie damals (z.B. 2011). Für mich zu sehr mainstream geworden. Aber ist sicher Geschmackssache. Ich habe noch eine der alten CDs und finde die echt gut.
Ich hatte die Band auch in Orginalbesetzung gehört, das war für meinen Geschmack viiieel besser, aber trotzdem eine gute Band, wenn auch nun etwas mehr "Mainstream"....
that's an old wooden flute which was formerly played by the flutist of the Frankfurt Philhamony Orchestra - I bought it as student around 1980, because I liked the warm sound of the wooden flute. The flute itself should be approx 90 to 100 years old, no name who manufactured it. mAnyway, I fell in love with it immediately - no silver flute or any else could get this emotional resonance with me. kann man super dazu üben, ohne gleich den 7/8-Takt von "Flook" bei "Wrong Foot Forward" durchhecheln zu müssen. Vor allem bekommt man ein Gefühl für die langen Auftakte zum Zielton hin.
This is not an incredibly well-known song, so you have really made art through unique selecting and a unique arrangement. You really had an auteur-type vision in my opinion.
thank you so much for this wonderful feedback. I felt connected with this song since I heard it the very first time, I think in London 72. With Edda and Hamidou I had the feeling that we could do a soulful version and perform this song ourselves.
Sehr schön das zu sehen, ich habe Erinnerung an Barry , er lebte die letzten Jahre in Haus Eilberg , ich war Pädagoge damals und zuständig für ihn. Er war eine Bereicherung für mich.
