I think I might just need a new fan or console lmao cuz my ps4 fan isn’t as smooth as it was I did the clean and it’s just a lot harder for the fan to move now I’ll spin it myself and it’s like it’s putting up a fight for the spin 🤣
Professional tip use a screwdriver and a hammer combination (just like the icepick and hammer on coconut) for the black plastic thing that the video used a knife to open. It’s much easier that the method he used.
Both of these are located under the panel that sits just above the power supply, if you're looking at the PS4 from above, with the fan at the top left and BD-ROM drive at the top right. With this orientation, you'll notice a pocket to the left of the heat sink which the black piece drops into. The silver piece is almost directly opposite of the black piece, sitting on the BD-ROM drive near the bottom right corner of it. You'll probably notice some light markings from the metal contact.
Yay thanks man my mom got my air spray and a fan to cool my ps4 and I got materials to clean my ps4 and I'm waiting for my mom to have come back with my fan and air spray
Thank you, thank you so damn much, without you, put of all the hundreds of videos on this damn site you are the only one who highlighted the T8 torx security screws with that damn plastic in them, you can't beoueve how much trouble you have saved me, you managed to extend my Playstation life by a thousand years. I am forever in debt with you
Yo i did this, it worked but right after I reassembled my ps4 I started having disc drive issues, and im not sure but it could be one of the black things i cut off just like he did and a little bit of it accidentally got into the disc drive and messed it up. It doesn't accept discs while it's on and makes a weird disc noise everytime I turned on the ps4 or pressed the eject button, and only accepts when it's turning on. I don't wanna disassemble it some other way to fix the disc drive cuz im scared I might break it😥. Can someone tell me what to do, I'd appreciate it alot
This video is a life saver but it would’ve been nice to see where you put each screw because I’m having a hell of a time trying to figure out where they go lmao
