Geez Dougi, what a song! I'l be heading north soon enough but not putting' on my boots just yet. You are right - we have sadly lost so many friends. It started a few years back but as you say it ispicking up speed. Be well old friend. Keep moving.
Nice playing Doug. Spent many days in Canada. Coast to coast and only one was not as fun as the rest: january in Calgary or Ottawa i bet. From Vancouver with pipes and gardens to rocky foggy St. Johns, Pastel Quebec City with great food music and lovely assets and Halifax. Nice folks and music. And you fit right in!
So sorry to have missed this in person... was busy preparing my son's birthday dinner... but so happy to be able to view it this way... thanks so much for your many many weeks of writing!
I hope they have given you the Order of Canada by now sir! Your work on Parliament and your rich music which taps at our immigrant hearts makes you more deserving than many.
Thanks for the explanation. My elementary school music teacher played this. I remember her giving us an overview of the instrument. I think she may have played it flat on the table.
