This is a collection of songs from my vast vinyl collection that I feel are significant to the history of contemporary Christian music that were not at the time of upload available elsewhere on RU-vid. Most are at least 25 years old so I believe some copyrights have expired already. I do not purport to own rights to any of these songs, and they are posted here for educational purposes only.

Wow, what a Classic throwback. This song brings back so many memories being at home with mom and dad and my seven siblings. If you know about this album it also tells your age 😊
Way back when this was on the radio I went in to a print shop to print my 1st booklet called TRUE APOSTLES OF JESUS. I wrote it to help my friends and myself to break away from the Armstrong religeon and prove he was not a true apostle of Jesus. This song was playing on the radio in the print shop.
I've been searching for this album that I once owned. Robin sent me a copy for radio years back in the 1980s. I lost track of it years ago. Any chance you could upload the entire LP on RU-vid?
Kenneth and I met at Grants Music Center when we were kids around 13 or 14 and became good friends. We played music together hung out quite a bit. He was a fantastic organist at a very young age. He performed with James Cleveland and Billy preston and many other well known artist. At some point in his twenties he became ill and passed away way too soon. I miss my friend even to this day 50 plus years later.
Blessings in an abundance of the faith. I salute you. 😘🙏Grace and peace be unto you and to this place. God bless you. Thank you. 🤍💌Will you believe and receive Jesus Christ as your LORD and personal saviour??? I do. 😊
Along with the title cut, this song is one of my favorite songs on this album! I bought the album back in the day just for the album cover photo; I hadn't heard anything on it; but I was pleasantly surprised and blessed!
I heard an interview with him about this song. It was about his grandfather all right, but he lived in a small Indiana farming community. He would preach every week from his front porch and farmers from “miles around” would come to hear him. He was so revered that when he passed away, over 3,000 came to his funeral. Denny fudged a bit about New Orleans, but the rest of it was solid gold.
I learned this song during a camp when I was in college. It always brings me to remember Christian camps and retreats. Thank you, kuya kiko for teaching us this song. ❤❤❤
Beautiful! Remember this song clearly. Saw you with John Daniels in Filey in 1980. Loved your music. Thank you, you brought me to a new level in my walk with the Lord.
Oh my goodness! I can't believe this song is posted. Thank you. Brings back so many precious memories of much less complicated times. It's beautifully simple. Awesome.❤❤❤
I danced to this song 20 years ago with my oldest son 💙 for the mother, son dance at his wedding and now my youngest son josh and I chose this song for his wedding. It said it all, I couldn't have said it better, I thank Jesus 🙏 for Scott using his gift to bless me and others 🙏 amen
this was written by Pastor Robert Stamps United Methodist Pastor whom we had the privilege of knowing - It's in the Methdist hymnal - credit should be given to Bob
I remember this song from when I was a kid - maybe 15? Way before there was an internet. Heard it sometimes on the radio. KHOF I think it was. King's Herald of Faith. I was quite religious then. I've been agnostic now though for a long, long time. In my opinion Christianity (and other religions) has been responsible for sooo much fear, superstition, misery and untruth. And I have a really hard time rectifying the idea of a loving God with the abject misery I see in the world. And yet, YET, I still like this song! :) It's happy and simple. Now though I substitute "her" for "him", and think of Mother Earth. A good song.
Tom and Candy stayed with us in an inner city hours which we bought to disciple troubled teens. We took them to ivy league Kirkland College. After we became missionaries in Uganda during the civil war with our teenagers. I sang this song all over the provinces of Uganda and it was great comfort to me.
I had the 7" version and a friend of mine at university had the 12" version. The intro to this song on the 12" was insanely brilliant, with the sampled vocals over the drums reciting the list of objects like a contestant on "The Generation Game" - "aqualung-qualung-qualung-qu-qu-qu..." The B-side, "My Face Won't Come Together", was also fantastic, with a terrific guitar solo at the end of the 12" version.
