I preordered mine as it came out and eventually got it in 2022. Custom built to roughly T1 spec and have been super happy with it! It does everything apart from really rough bike park well, but I have mine built up as a light trail bike.
Gonna buy this upgrade......You in New Zealand? Sounds a bit Yorkshire your accent pal.....I'm a manc who lives in Oldham and we ride in Yorkshire sometimes
been racing some local enduros on my sb130LR, inserts... x2 shock... overstroked.. burly wheels. it crushes. doing well in the races too. i just did my first local xc race. i am def more a gravity guy but had fun at the xc race. my 130lr feels fine in a race, bike park etc, sure its not the new 160, but unless im just pure racing i dont feel its needed cuz the 130 is just so balanced + capable, its def more whose riding it IMO. i am wanting to get a second bike but i feel the enduro wont be justified much and i want a bike in my fleet that is different. was hoping i could use arc for my trail days, xc rides, or even a few xc races with a major improvement over my 130LR. i understand this isn't an xc rig. when not in a race i think id like that as gravity is my heart, and id want to push the downer harder than i probably should despite the smaller bike. you seem stoked on the ARC... would you say it is be a good mid pack xc rider race bike + trail bike for longer days/more climbing focused rather than going for my best dh time.
Definitely. My gravity bike is an sb150 but I love the arc. Handles the xc pretty well and allows me to have fun on the rowdy stuff. I can’t hit stuff as hard as the sb150 but it’s probably more fun being ‘underbiked’ and still having a go. Like you said it can be down to who’s riding the bike, the arc is pretty capable if your a confident rider 👍
Hardtails are great because they aren't bouncy , if your riding a full sus bike in an xc race the rear sus should be stiff as can be adjusted. It takes more body positioning skill to ride a hard tail and that's ok.
Cost & strength. I ride this bike a lot & pretty hard (not just xc), having gone through 4 rear wheels this year I wanted something strong, light and not going to break the bank
@@MTBgains Any thoughts on Cush Core inserts for the wheels if you are destroying them? I love my ARC and would like to have seen you closer to the front on the start. I think you could have placed a lot better!

Hello! Great review! I’ve watched this and the Enduro video and the bike seems pretty solid (except for the disc being loose). Are the shirts available for sale?
Full Suspension always helps. But it’s nice to have a hard tail in the stable. I have an EPIC EVO EXPERT and I’m faster on it than I was on my TURNER CZAR. Throw the idea of merch out there and see if there’s any interest.
Sram (or Avid) makes that small screw on plastic bracket in a left or right design. Yours like mine is a right. I ordered a left hand one on eBay. I need to get the controller away from my thumb without moving the brake lever too far away. That should do it.
Last year I set myself a goal 31k for 31 days in May on mountain bike only still working full-time 3 boys and a wife it's the time that kills you keep up your great work
Does the geometry makes you go over the handlebars especially when you raise the seat up to pedal long flat roads? I think adding a long stem like 80mm at least would make you less over the handlebars.
I think the geometry is not very good in that yety 67 ht is xc no matter what fork you use mjch better hardtail frames whit more agresive geometry out there
@@MTBgains Hi both, always been a hardtail guy and thinking of going back (N+1 rule) to MTB after a few years Road/Gravel only. Is it “comfortable” enough on long MTB ride?
@@kazzz6666 I find it alright for longer rides, I’ve done many 6 hours+ rides on the bike and felt fine, no sore lower back like you get with many bikes. Make sure you have comfy grips and saddle!
