Yes . 100-400 and 300mm with x1.4 may seems to be similar in spec. But because the 300mm is so sharp, when you start to crop (which is often necessary for wildlife shots), the difference in sharpness can be quite obvious. The 300mm is crazy sharp.

I was happy to see your initial impressions of this lens/tc combination. I just ordered both for my OM-1 to replace the PL100-400 that I'd been using. Your video was great!

Thank you for a very instructive video. My Olympus 90mm arrived 2 days ago and I am new to macro. I find your channel the best of many I have looked at. You obviously have a love of invertebrates. Keep them coming and God bless.

I don't know the issue with the light, because the 100-400 is f6.3 at 400, the 300 with mc14 at 420 is f5.6. Not a huge difference. Only the sharpness is the difference but since every teleconverter decreases it it is even less. Not marginal, but less sharpness.

Great photos, congratulations. I am also very happy with my Zuiko 60mm f2.8. In close-up portraits it is so sharp that it made me argue with my wife because according to her I did it on purpose to highlight all the imperfections of the skin of the face.

Trey, I’ve watched a few of your videos this morning ( in the UK ), and I’m blown away by both the quality of your videography and more importantly the tutorials themselves. The advice you give is very easy to follow, your attention to detail of the content (insect name, exit data etc) is outstanding. But most of all I’m taken by the peace you instil in me personally while I watch your videos. No rushing, no drama just quiet, informative and quality content. Thank you….and subbed 🤙

Hey bro, thanks for the guide. A question: Why lower the shutter speed instead of raising the flash? I've just got the OM-1 ii and it can do brackets at 1/100, surely the faster the better to minimise movement etc?

I’m new to all this: so basically stacking is when you take multiple shots and then transfer those shots to CP and the CP stacks them as one photo in order to get the best resolution? Correct me if I’m wrong which I probably am
