Lets create an IMAGE of an idol. One is able to IMAGINE an IMAGE in his IMAGINATION from his HEART of his house pet being his idol because it can offer him the attributes of companionship, emotional comfort, protection, love, etc. And all that happens in an instant. IDOLATRY. Worshipping the attributes of an animal. One is able to do all this without knowing it even being in faith thinking God approved it. Thats how an image is created/born thus creating idolatry from the start. The ways of idolatry are infinite. Neverending. A molecule can be an idol to a specific person. The word L.O.V.E. pertaining to animals/creatures does not exist in the Holy bible. God mentions the word L.O.V.E. to us 610 times in the KJB but ZERO about animals. Gods word simply says to regard for/tend to/look after the animals we have. The righteous care for in the physical sense. The wicked care in the emotional sense. That turns into a vain worldly love from the heart. Idolatry. Tender mercies are natural emotional attributes meant only for people and God. Tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. Their emotions are wild. Untamed. They will attach their heart to anything. No faith in God. But idols. God will not sub out any of his attributes to any house pet/idol/god. He is a JEALOUS God. Considering Gods whole infinite creation, God only said He loves mankind ONLY. Although I appreciate your message, it doesn't lead people to knowing their Savior by His True Name. Would the Spirit of Truth call our Savior by a different Name? The Son was NEVER called Jesus while on earth and NEVER will be in heaven. His Name is YAHshua which means: YAH is Salvation. There are several spellings of our Savior's True Name... but Jesus isn't one of them. Churches need to start calling our Savior by His True Name instead of a name given to Him by men. He said that He came in His Father's Name, "Is the Father named Jesus?"
I don't think the explanation about free will (early on) was really Lutheran, it sounded a bit calvinistic. We need to always maintain the distinction. Double Predestination is calvinistic and not biblical
