@@vicscu thanks bro , but one my question ,does car pull harder with the light fly wheel compared to the oem off line or any traction issues with the lighter fly wheel
I have a 2019 black 370Z 6MT sport coupe that I bought new and had polished and coated. About a year ago I had a Stillen G3 long-tube CAI, a Fast Intentions dual X-pipe CBe and a dyno tune done on Ecutek software on a Dynojet chassis dyno. The stock peak rwhp went from 280, to 301 after the hardware mods and finally to 321 after 6 pulls on the dyno with the A/F ratios and ignition timing optimized using 94 octane gas. Torque increased about 15% uniformly over the whole rev range and I estimate that I'm putting out about 381 peak hp at the crank at 7200 rpm. Additional mods include gloss black Litespeed Racing forged magnesium monoblock wheels that are about 9 lbs lighter than the OEM Ray's Engineering forged aluminum wheels. My anti-roll bars have been upgraded to stiffer Hotchkis bars for flatter cornering and better steering response. My engine's increased torque has ruptured the fluid-filled rubber rear differential to subframe bushing, that I'm going to replace with a stiffer and stronger polyurethane one.
Its a little misleading to tile it FBO, and then list the mods showing its not full bolt on. Where are the headers, throttle body, etc.? That said, it's a very clean looking car. 👍
I went woth that same z1 package you have and its awesome BUT i do now get a weird squicking noise when the clutch pedal isnt pushed in, when apply absolutely tiny pressure to the clutch pedal the noise goes away, any idea? To add iv only done about 2500 miles on it
How much power u make? I have a 2014 nismo with invidia gemini catback and berk high flow cats + drop in filters. Gonna get a tune soon :D I'm very excited how much power it's gonna make :D
So I have the 2.5 inch Z1 intakes Torqen 200cel high flow cats and the Torqen Zorst 3 inch duel exit, headers are too expensive too fit talking 1K+ labour so should I tune now? I imagine I’ll get a big power increase and get rid of my engine warning light
Definitely man you will notice a huge difference in drivability and how the power comes in. I recommend tuning with the big name guys like Z1 or Admjn just to name a couple!
Im only street tuned never dyno’d, admin has good videos about what mods to do and what to expect from each as far as whp and how it affects the power delivery
I have a 2019 sport model 6MT and had the Stillen Gen 3 long tube intakes put on and a Fast Intentions dual x-pipe cat back. The next day I took it to Specialty Z in Simi Valley, CA and had it dyno tuned on a Dynojet chassis dyno with Ecutek software. My peak rwhp was about 273 hp @ 7200 rpm. After the mods and tuning we got 321 wheel hp @ 7200 rpm. The torque increased by a factor of about 14% over the whole rev range. Estimating a 17% drivetrain loss, I suspect that I'm putting out about 387 crank hp @ 7200 rpm. The tuner did about 7 pulls before finally dialing in the final results. What I saw during the runs was that the stock A/F ratios programmed into the ECU by Nissan were moderately lean at low and midrange revs, while being slightly lean at high revs. I believe this was for economy and emissions control. The pull with just the hardware installed showed 301 peak rwhp with the low-end and mid range running extremely lean and the top end moderately lean. The torque curve showed a big dip down low. After the A/F ratios were corrected and the timing was optimized the engine woke up and became the beast that it now is. My gas mileage did go down slightly, but that was no big deal. The car also sounds much better than stock.
@@videomaniac108 thank you for the info! Thats my catback exhaust im planning to get (F.I. Xipe). Good to know. I aim for 320+ whp so thats good news. Again thank u for the info, extremely helpful.
@vicscu because it's easy to break something, especially reving it that high. Even people who spend thousands on the best parts still blow gaskets and more.
Been z1 tuned for 2 years now. I’ve hit 8k rpm daily (not proud of that) but it’s holding up fine since it’s N.A. don’t be afraid people get 700hp on stock motor and drive it everyday at 15psi. It can take the abuse he’ll be fine
Time for that CF radiator cover? or do you just use on sunny days only? The Z1 2-piece sprinkle slotted are worth it - I went with EBC redstuff and for street use, have done perfect for 5+ years... Now need me that oil cooler!!
I've been told by a Motorsport Jap specialist that cold air intakes are pretty much a waste of money for performance. They are more for noise and looks. A high performance air filter will get you close to any benefits with a fraction of the price. We can't get rid of Cats in the UK so high flow cats are our option.
I didn't really cover tuning options in this video, but as you guys know, I have always done my tuning with Jon @ Z1 via Uprev and sending data logs to street tune. have plenty of tuning and retuning videos on the channel for those interested in that process.
