Thats my buddy Jim flying the P51with the F16 Viper in the "Heritage flight"....many similarities between the 2 planes....both have air scoops underneath fuselage...both were 1 of the best all-round fighters of their time...and both are still "badass" machines!
I have always enjoyed my travel with Allegiant, but I was very disappointed in how I was treated when requesting wheelchair service at both the South Bend Airporte and Phoenix Mesa Airporte this past Friday. They treated me like I was lying about my disability at both locations. I do not look disabled and I'm able to walk, so I guess they thought I was a fraud. I learned from this trip that I better get documentation from my doctor for my next round trip air flight, so I have better chances of being treated with respect. I have suffered with spinal stenosis since 2014. I experience pain if I stand for very long or walk of much distance. I need the wheelchair to prevent pain. You should never judge anyone unless you know their circumstances. I still have to fly home. I sure hope I'm not made to feel like a fraud on my way home. I did pay for priority boarding and a front row seat on both flights.
