Hi, most likely the surfaces are not tangent. Ensure when you create lines on geometry you select "geometry on support". It would help if i know which part exactly you're referring to.

There are obviously some major differences between toolsets within the various versions of Catia V5. Like other people commenting here, my version has differences which do not allow continuation. When you create the sphere, you get a "Geometrical Set 1". I get a "Subdivision Surface.2". Secondly, I get a small sub-window in the bottom-right of the screen showing the sphere, which if I hover my mouse over it, gives view and selection options, base-mesh options, preview options, and trap options. You don't seem to have that. Thirdly, my sphere is black, not red, and I have no ability to view or manipulate the mesh as you do.
Hi, everything you referred to is in the settings. They're set at default on the 2020 version which i assume you're using. On the toolbar, right-click & select graphic options, From there you can change the colour of the mesh. The project is do-abe on all versions of CATIA. The toolbars are just set at different places. When I create a sphere I definitely get a "subdivision surface" under geometrical set. Because it's the first object, that's why the geo set appears. I will be posting a new project on the IMA workbench starting tomorrow using Catia V5 2020. I think that will more easier for you to follow along. Hope this helps.

I will try to make a standalone video on that. However this is a complex topic that requires previous knowledge in other Aeronautical/Aerospace engineering disciplines as well as aircraft performance.
On the toolbar that pops up when you create the sphere, there's an icon near the right end that says 'mesh view' ...go through the icons you'll find it. Let me know if it works
@@themartiandogengineer Yes there is when i press it cage is going invisible but for point selection catia take refer to cage corners(invisible cage) not ball points.
