Age of Majority Singers (AOMS) is a community choir directed by M. Brenneman and accompanied by J. Armes. It is a SATB choir of young adult singers. The choir sings a range of repertoire and performs throughout Waterloo Region.
Our Goals 1) To fill a distinct gap in the community by giving young people with busy lives the opportunity to sing in a choir that demands less time and cost commitment than others in the Waterloo Region. 2) To share music with other local groups and the community through public performances. 3) To commit to building an inclusive environment, welcoming people of all backgrounds.
History Founded in January 2013, Age of Majority Singers is the brain child of N. Kidd and T. English, upon recognizing a distinct lack of singing or choral opportunities for young people once they had completed their education, both individuals set out to correct this deficit through the creation of a community based choir.
