Just because a crow likes sausage, ham or bacon doesn’t mean this Cooper’s Hawk will. This hawk is young, less than a year old, so now is the right time to feed him. Once he gets older he’ll get pickier about his food. If you want to convince this hawk to eat, try a protein rich food such as chicken livers from your local grocery store and make sure that it is served raw and uncooked. It shall work as long as you place it up high! If he eats, maybe he’ll let you watch him outside or he will wait for you to give him another meal. I hope my advice works.
Be prepared ! Blue/grays can be very head strong and bossy. Mine is VERY talkative. But if they stay happy, they are loyal as any dog. But watch that canine intro carefully; She is likely to set the tone for that on her own terms ! (as with other cats) I've had my BeBe (Blu Boy) for over 12 years, and talking and cuddling with him is always the joy of my day !
It works, I set my alarm for an hour before I need to get ready for work and thus have time to check on the world, feed and care for animals and plants, and do a self adjustment to transition into the day. But on days off I don't set an alarm, it helps the body heal to have rest times, and it's a great luxury to me. Everyone is different, and it's a great thing. Happy birthday 🎂 Looking good in the Ladies Lair! Best to have plain water for your kitten, most importantly clean and fresh each day. The milk replacement will save a kittens life if not weaned, but not really good for one over a month old, look at the ingredients. Good dry kibble, ingredients should start with a protein, and be formulated for kittens, and a bit of wet food at one meal of the day, like canned kitten food, half a boiled egg or finely cut cooked chicken or fish. Can sprinkle a bit of the milk replacement powder on the wet if it makes you feel better😊 Watch the toys, alot of them have catnip and not good for kittens under one as it's like food after midnight for gremlins, and a gamble if they will be fine or turn into a psycho kitteh, their brains are forming the permanent functions now and don't need psychedelics to scramble them. Best toys I've found are a length of string with a bit of cellophane tied on the end, a brown paper bag , empty box with cut out spots, pipe cleaners curled around a finger to make a rolling spring, and pom pom balls from a craft store. That is a smart and good kitten, trying to entertain itself while still inviting you to play fight, and very aware of what is distracting you from all important playtime. The key to getting the kitten to be cuddly is to play hide and seek and play wrestling until the baby tires out, then make an inviting lap to pet and cuddle in, then the book work while baby sleeps in your lap. Interaction that meets the baby's needs and makes you the fun and safe zone will attach the baby to you for life. They grow up fast, so make the connection now.
