thank you for the feedback, no reason to drop the lower unless doing a new impeller and I know this one is good as ive only used the boat a handful of times since i did a new one 2 years ago , the bearing went bad because the boat was caught in Hurricane Ian and water inside the boat was high enough to reach the bearing for 5 days straight and I got her back on the water and trailered her to Destin florida and thats when it started roaring so i knew i had to replace, thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, here is one when i found her after the storm and i have a playlist of videos work i had to do to her. , also have videos from before the storm. ive owned this particular boat 18 yrs now ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aa2E34OVoLw.htmlsi=_oYD8bLwKx-jWIOY
thanks again for the comments , I love both bikes and they both have down sides , ive owned my Harley 3 yrs before she got caught in Hurricane Ian and was under water 5 days straight and has 42k on her and she never gave me an issue till the flood and i put quite a few thousand miles on her , the Harley definitely rides a lot smoother and takes bumps so much better , my wife loves riding the Harley but only went on the Victory once and she said it doesn't ride as good and i knew first time i rode it she wouldn't like it after the Harley, I even tried to loosen the tension on the spring on rear shock as the guy before me was much larger and heavier so i figured he might have had it tight so wouldn't sag as bad but still kinda stiff when hitting bumps , thanks again for watching Vassmotorsports , I still have been riding the Victory more and love the paint job and kinda custom look to the general public that doesn't know bikes , but she sure doesn't have that Harley sound and cool factor
Congrats victory brother! 8 gaskets to the entire engine! Harley i believe has 63? You idle at 55psi oil pressure. 75 running. Its a 200,000 mile motor. No pushrods. Superior design.
thanks for the feedback and I know some people believe that ,and dont get me wrong im loving it so far even tho some things i dont like about it as my Harley has me spoiled on the low end grunt and power that this bike just doesn't seem to have and im on a couple Victory groups on Facebook and for how few of any Victory bikes are actually on the road i sure see a lot of people having issues of all sorts and it kinda scares me and not sure how long or smart it is to keep it long term, at least with the Harley if something actually does go wrong i can get anything I want and parts are endless ,thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
this is why i love a new out board engine,,, they are quieter and have a lot more power these new style engines unlike the old ones were very loud and slow, but no bellow boot to replace and they do have a large problem on charging up a battery, V 8 engines have a super charging system unlike the low charging system on a out board system so bring many extra battery if you are smart, Haha,,,
yes outboard motors have came a long way for sure but im a poor man and cant afford the newer outboards especially something that would have 300+ HP. so ill just stick to my good old Mercruiser set ups. The outboard by itself costs more than my whole boat , any that i own haha. plus ive been working on small block chevy 350s since i was a teenager so i can work on these boats with my eyes closed thats another reason i love these so much lol. i couldn't think of having to have someone work on something for me and do everything for myself as i said im poor plus i dont trust anyone to do the work for me. you have to be really lucky to find a mechanic to trust ,thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
i learned a lot about how to replace the bearing, i had it done 3 years ago with the boot replacement, it cost $700... yep... labor $105 a hour in San Diego... Sunset marine in EL Cajon, Calif...
thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching, that was actually not a bad deal especially being at a marina. .sounds like you came out good for having to pay someone to do it. most start at $1300 and up
thank you so much, and thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uA0wfHKj61g.htmlsi=rsz8P0UqUA5hRjMC
thank you and glad if it helped. I just go right on ebay and buy the cheapest kit i can find usually around $45 - $50 bucks and been using them on many boats over last 18 years including my Stingray that ive owned 18 years , and alot of them are for friends that have owned their boats for many years and only trust me to work on their boats. some will say only buy the $350 or 400 quicksilver or Mercruiser set , and i have 2 times in the past and see no real difference, ive gone 6 or seven years on these cheap kits ,and only changed then because that boat stays in the water all summer and didn't want to chance it and the other is one of my personal boats ,now for piece of mind few years ago i started picking up a good Quicksilver shift cable bellow ,( the small one) just because that is the weak link if any in the cheap kit as it gets stretched the most and thinest material, bearings always have done good for me until one of mine in the stingray got water in it from Hurricane Ian and to much water got inside the boat and was in for 5 days straight and up to bearing height. thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, can see some of my Stingray before and after the Hurricane
@@islamgirovlev9991 No, it's just because I stuck a empty hose into the jug.And the motor hadn't been started in a long time.He had to pull some fuel through the system.Wants to carburetor had some fuel in the bowl.It would fire right up no problem, But thank you for the feedback and for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos
Love the bikes! Sorry for the damage 😢 In case your interested. Here's a link to my 06 Jackpot. I love chrome so i had to customize mine. Added 2" to the rear wheel. So now 10.5". Wide enough for a 300mm. I made the intake and several other parts. Hope you enjoy!ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i4MACrEKhU8.htmlsi=tb3ThoPoZvv-_jv2
thank you, and wow man that is what i call taking it to a whole new level. your Jackpot is over the top and so beautiful, you aint kidding about loving chrome haha. my Harley does have a lot of chrome but its all just stuff someone bought for it , yours looks like most had to be made (especially back wheel) so i cant imagine how much is invested in her ,but really shows and is really beautiful, my Vic will have to stay pretty much like it is as i cant afford to invest into it so thats why is am glad it has somewhat of a custom look to moat average people and definitely in good clean condition, so ill have to enjoy her like this. thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
it was already on the bike but it has the Victory emblem right on it so I would imagine they bought it from the dealer , and bought the Corbin seat ,the guy i got it from said his dad bought it brand new in 08 but unfortunately he passed around 19 or 20 and the son got the bike and it just sat in the garage and only had 138 miles since was titled to him in 19 until i got it from him. thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos
Anyway you could send me part numbers and contact to up grade control board. I have the exact same make and model ezgo and same issue and want to do these upgrades to mine. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you 🤙.
im sorry but i dont have specific part #'s but i got everything right on Ebay and you can find everything i used ,just shop for best price and seller with high scores , if you type in ezgo controller and scan the list you should see the guy that rebuilds them , and he is in Florida, think his name was Desiel tech or something of that nature , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, that controller just wouldn't hold up to the larger high torque motor and the extreme hill and we decided to try a Navitas blue tooth 440amp series controller but ive still been having little trouble here and there with it , ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YsoJIs2qJmQ.htmlsi=qqqn_JFDirpIYtax
not sure what brand this is as wife ordered off Shien but its the same model they ship from Home Depot and i believe its just under $300 range , used all weekend and it did a great job and we would empty into the freezer every so often and let it keep making ice. thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
thanks and yes I missed a great deal on a Cross country for 4k also with 15k on the clock and im still kicking myself, it was 2010 and didn't have the Batwing and only a windshield but was still beautiful and I should have bought both but i still have my Harley so i couldn't justify spending the money and thought I liked the Jackpot better for the custom look ,thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
Great video. Very realistic, and it’s always good when it takes a couple tries, that lets us know that it might go wrong but will be OK. I recommend putting the new bearing in the freezes for a few hours to shrink it just a little, and maybe spread a little grease in the fitting just east the insertion. I also noticed on the 1st try the shaft wasn’t straight, you drove at an upward angle. I recommend a couple light taps look to be sure all is aligned. But again, great video, it went in and all is good.
thanks for the feedback, and I do put a little grease or Vasoline on outside of bearing to help and the shaft may look like wrong angle but the gimbal housing moves and the bellow holds them up alittle sometimes and cant look at or judge by that, but have to stay straight with the transom assembly and after doing so many over the years i guess its just second nature to me at what angle to hold the shaft haha, and yes sometimes I get it started and look to make sure the outer ring is not coming off like this one did first time, but i guess making the video i wasn't thinking plus if it just pops in to easy then i know the ring is gonna be sticking out wrong. , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
i actually have a few but was just going up the street real quick lol. i scored a Victory helmet on marketplace was still new in the box left over someone had with bag and all i scored for $40 cause the guy had a Harley and said he didn't know anyone that owned a Victory, thanks for the comment and thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uA0wfHKj61g.htmlsi=PubMstDS2kCeumXY
sorry i do not but its very similar to this gen 1 except the clamp on ujoint bellow , but this is a video on the Bravo and everything will be the same except the shift cable goes into a clamp on the outdrive. your gen 2 is like the gen 1 as put your shifter forward engaging gear before removing drive , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WjuIZC_gY5w.htmlsi=x6mALrzV3Sh1y-I2
thank you so much for the reply but these i installed a brand new set of lifters in a different video and the set that were in it were new the car lot paid to do before i bought it and didn't tell me. said they had to many vehicles to worry about that one , and 3 of those were in pieces when i removed them and couldn't see any lobes worn , so i dont want to band aid anymore as its to nice a vehicle and i like my stuff dependable, so im gonna pull motor to do new cam bearings and full delete the right way , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
@@Vassmotorsports absolutely agree 100... dependable, reliability, peace of mind, new parts makes me sleep good at night also friend...i wish u best of luck and happiness.
@@jayceasar2661 thank you, I thought it was gonna be simple lifter replacement but I wasn't that lucky on this one haha, I have to many vehicles and she just been sitting but i need to get back on her soon and fixed right so i can keep or sell lol
i own and drive many different vehicles and id have to say weve had this over 2 years and I do like driving it beside the lack of power and terrible fuel mileage , our transmission did go bad around 220k and i replaced with a used one and thankfully shes been doing great since. im a poor guy but feel like when im in this it looks like its worth more than it is and looks as good as some of the new Jeeps or brand new Bronco in my eyes. thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime, heres the trans swap video if curious ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DP9fJmncTSE.htmlsi=GOWPTTPblh35Z7YI
i dont know but should be very similar to this 60hp. have you tried looking for a 120 hp or little bigger if this isnt the same maybe one of those will be. thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
@@Vassmotorsports I have watched several of your videos .. very clear and concise step by step info ! yours are the closest I have been able to find honestly.
I have looked at larger HP Mercury but nothing that resembles the tower of power 115 Please let me know if you are planning to do a lower seal replacement video.. as I am stumped at this point lol 🙂
@@rhcoopercat wow thank you for that. and hope it helps ya to get yours knocked out and good luck with your project, I didn't bother with the prop shaft seal as it wasnt leaking and stays in the fluid as its at the bottom
haha. glad ya enjoyed. thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime. and good luck with your project if ya watching this i guess ya need to work on your boat
@@Vassmotorsports Yes working a new project, trying to figure out how to remove my starter motor on a 3.0L when I'm not left handed and have a very restrictive bulkhead surrounding it but am likely also going to have replace the exhaust manifold as well. BTW that interior is awesome, wish I had someone local who could something like that but also it would cost a fortune I'm sure, more than my boat is worth for someone who wasn't your brother and I don't think you went "overboard" with the tufted diamond either.
good luck with your truck. its really not bad especially as long as nothing is stripped, rusted ,or just plain stuck lol. thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
using OTC Genisus ive had for many years. im sure they're are plenty of stuff available these days. i also have a dongle off ebay and downloaded an app on phone for free and can retrieve simple engine codes like these , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime always something different going on
I am with you trying to walk back to the house when I'm done... I just had this thought the other day but didn't know someone already had made it. Oh and great hat!
lol. yeah the hat works great for sun on my neck , and theyve had these Swisher for many years. i had another one 15 yrs ago and it was old when i got it haha
Ok just got my bearing and shaft. Hope it goes as good as yours did! Fyi Advance auto does NOT show a bearing and they do not have one!!!!! Got Dorman shaft and bearing on Amazon for 110.00
good luck with your project, im definitely an Ebay guy when it comes to parts. so much easier to navigate than amazon and so many more suppliers normally for parts , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime

WOW!!!!! You did an amazing job on restoring this boat. I have a 1998 Pro Team 175, and it is in great shape. I always keep it clean and covered. Enjoyed your video!

thanks for the feedback, ive noticed to put my arm out and lean forward to gain speed back towards the boat but I felt like the wave wasn't fully formed yet and i left deck to quickly
Bro! I'd sell the Wife before I'd sell my 04' Crown Vick LX Sport :) These Panthers cars are stupid easy to work on... Except that dang blend door motor. You actually do not need to tear out the the dash, guage cluster, radio, and air bag! Just the main bolts and screws and I drop the steering coluom and keep the bolts loose on the drivers side to help the dash pivit so yo have the room to get the blend door and or the heater core replaced :) And did you really sell this Merc?? If so that's a shame... that i didn't get a shot at it! I got 3 Vicks, my love is the 04' LX Sport, the 05' is my traveling car, and the daily is a 2010 NM State Interceptor.
haha. yes unfortunately i sold her. one of my dream cars the first time i seen them i magazines in 02 , but i was lucky enough to own this one for 15 yrs or so and have way to many toys and vehicles so i kept all my Camaros instead. I might have took couple extra bolts out as it been about 15 years since i did one of these and couldn't remember everything and definitely didn't want to chance stressing the dash and cracking as she is always in the sun all her life , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
@@Vassmotorsports I still got my Dream Car, my Mom's 1971 Galaxie500 2 door. Dad bought for her Birthday in 72', I'm planning on a Pather frame swap with a 351 Windsor Street Boss motor which I had in the car back in the 1980's :) Artic White W/ bourgany interior... Always a Hot looking car! Back in the Day I had my Chevys, 67' Impala SS, 69 Malibu SS but the Fords, Dodges and my 1970 GTX 383 Ply Moth seemed to hold up better! It seems to stick with what you like and runs great for you! I drove a 1971 LTD for 17 years, bought it for a parts car but the dang car W/ a Cleveland motor just kept running till 1998 when gas prices got over a $1 a gallon 🤣😂 But still got her in the car corral with several other 71's and 72's Fords... Guess what I'm doing after retirement in 16 months?? :)
@@danielmcqueen1024 thats awesome. ive always loved Ford and Chevy both. but i guess Chevy was always my favorite, both have their goods and bads , but i love the handling of the Camaro and ive always said bang for the buck Chevy couldn't be beat. but i definitely miss the Marauder that was a hell of a performance vehicle for the size and comfort. i still have my 84 Z28 ive had since i was 18 and 49 now , 89 Iroc convertible i picked my wife up in when i was 24 ,and 2000 SS convertible Ls1 car and they run and handle amazing, still have one of my Foxbody stangs left and a 66 stang with 289 , and 73 Olds Omega 350 rocket (same body as Nove) pretty rare. ive had bunch of fords thru the years , was never into Dodge but now im older ive grown to like them but cant afford them haha. old or newer

no dont have to worry about it on these older vehicles, if you want can tape something like a weight to the bottom of the wheel so it doesn't free spin and damage clock spring , some people wrap seat belt around the wheel. thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime

yes if ya watch the video you can see what happened, the big clamp holding the two havles together broke and i drove it home 450 miles from Florida and the heat that exscaped burned the position solenoid and pigtail. i couldn't get the new clamp on so i didn't feel like pulling the turbo and i just welded the clamp and slide back into place and replaced solenoid and pigtail. thankfully been doing great for last 6 or 7 months with multiple 600 mile one way trips and pulled my 5th wheel last week 600 miles , I guess stuff gonna happen since she only got about 360k on her , thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
