Outdoor adventure awaits! I am currently converting a 1984 GMC Short Bus into an off grid skoolie / tiny home in order to travel to more remote locations. Join me on the journey! Welcome to my channel.
how did you get the upper LED lights to not flash from the original amber/ hazard lights controls? Did you just close off the original bus wiring from the amber/ hazard switch and wire your own? Interested in how to do this. Also, want to wire just a few of the interior bus lights to a dome light over the rear door and driver area, but not sure if I need to just run my own wires to a separate switch or if there's a way to plug into the original wires and use the original switch...thanks for the videos your channel is great :)
Thanks so much for the kind words. I used the original switches but ran power from my house batteries to the switch. Mine came factory with individual self resetting circuit breakers attached to a common bus bar. So I was able to just run house battery power to the breakers I wanted. I hope that makes sense. Best of luck with your build!
Two years ago I installed a CDH with this red controller. It was easy (as shown in Michael's video) to change between Centigrade and Fahrenheit. However, I just purchased another heater with the same controller and it does not, will not change over to Fahrenheit. I bought the kit based upon the red controller. Obviously they are not the same...even though they look the same. Thanks for the video...easy to understand and to the point.
I have this same heater and controller but that does not seem to work for mine, for some reason. Odd. This is a brand new install and I cannot for the life of me work out the auto prime function. In the black 5-button controllers it is OK+Down arrow, but that doesn't work either. How did you get it started on yours?
Much of the video was about things other than making Death Wish coffee in a Moka Pot. Would be more useful to show filling the basket to the top and leveled off with your finger or some straight edge. Stove top temperature and length of time on the heat would be useful. Otherwise, the brew can easily turn south.
