What’s a good method to delet the reverse safety I just got one unlocked and shifting again properly and sparking but I messed up the reverse safety wire on the clutch side
Will not hurt the plastics. It says on the can not to use on plastic. But these plastics are chemical resistant. Aircraft remover will not hurt them. Make sure to wear eye protection, respirator, and gloves 😎👍
Where do you guys get parts from I a 1992 250x fourtrax and the thing needs some work but I can’t find a good wire harness PLEASE PLEASE HELP I’ve had this four wheeler since I was 13 and I want to get it running so my daughter can have the same fun I had on it, all I need is the carb, rear brake reservoir and the wire harness but I CANNOT find it anywhere, please please please if possible could you reach out to me
Hey guys I just got this one it's in worst shape than yalls. I just did valves carb clean etc. It is missing some stuff. For example the vent hose that comes off top of the engine. Would yall mind showing me how and where it runs to? I'll have to order it
I have A 1991 Honda Trx 250X, have had it since New, My First Quad. This one in the video Looks about what you'd find these days. Good Luck on the revival!
God i hate it when people spray paint quad plastics like seriously slightly faded and worn plastics still look so much better then painted plastics after one ride and wash, im trying to strip years of paint off my blasters beautiful white plastics
It says not to use on plastic on the can. These plastics are chemical resistant. So Aircraft remover will not hurt them at all. Wear your PPE. I can’t say the same for the Chinese plastics. I have no experience using it on those yet. Do it! Shame on the lazy idiots that paint these plastics…
@jakeparry6172 PPE? We don't take kindly to tge sissy safety patrol around here. When we were growing up, we just had enough common sense not to get the paint remover and brake cleaner in our eyes .😆 if you did, then it's not the end of the world, and we all got a laugh at your expense. Seriously, WTFC. 70% of the population has an IQ below 70 these days and can't think for themselves. I say let Darwin sort them all out. We all shouldn't have to change our lives because other people are stupid.
Suo guys. I build banshees myself. But I took one of these in for 300. Redoing a ton of motor stuff to make it right again. I'm good eith bikes and motors but, only thing I can't figure out is the auto decomp. I have the shafts, new seals, ready to go. But I can't find a cable anywhere. And I kinda feel like I'm missing something behind the clutch cover b.c. I can't see what on the kicker shaft would actuate the decomp shaft? And the little wire in the center of the clutch cover? What's that all about? What is that sensor supposed to sense? Appreciate any help. U dudes rock. Can hit me up on messenger if it's easier. That way I can show u pics of what I have going on over here.
I have the same quad... just got it couple weeks ago... when you guys put it in reverse it looked easy. How do you engage it?... I think on mine its stuck.
Can somebody help me out, I’m looking for the size socket to use for the clutch basket and the crank nut on a 92 trx250x in order to replace timing chain. Would be much appreciated 🙏🙏
You should always go through the carb before the first start up you don’t want to suck any junk into it and plug the jets up worse than they would have been.
Thank you for supporting our channel! Many things are done off camera and these are our own personal machines! We do things very different in a professional environment and some things are done off camera and never mentioned. These videos are for entertainment purpose not tutorial unless otherwise stated. We appreciate your support and input!
Before the first start on a bike that’s set for x amount of time you should first clean the carburetor you don’t want to suck junk into your top end and then check for fire and check the oil before that first fire as well nice find I’m a proud owner of a 1987 250x it will never be sold love the ol girl.
Yes! I’ve seen these things run with the whole engine needing bearings and seals and had the piston skirt completely missing on one side of the piston. The exhaust flange was welded on and the rear case was cracked in 4 places but the thing still ran 😂 sounded like it was going to blow up, but it just ran. I since modded it and fully restored it. I still can’t believe how quick these things can be.
What could be making my 92 250x tick in the top end when warm and it gets worse as it gets hotter but its sounds perfect while cold and it doesn't smoke or anything and has plenty of power the tick just worries me a lot because i have a lot of money in this ol girl
More than likely valves cause the hotter it gets the worse they get that’s where I’d start with a diagnosis if it was the cam chain it would get quieter when you give it gas cause it gets tension on it try a valve adjustment first.
