Don’t forget Lyre in the Greil Mercs, she might be the worse character to use. With how great she is, you might wonder if she’s actually part of the Dawn Brigade!
I think they tried having a trend of late game enemy Generals turning allies, but having hard recruitment requirements. For Hannibal, it's best you block the castle he would enter, so he doesn't come back with a whole platoon, until you go to a castle much further away and get Coirpre. Douglas must be kept alive, best by manipulating him to constantly attack an unarmed, well levelled Roy. And then there's Xavier. If you find a character even harder to recruit in... well, any video game (but best a Fire Emblem clone like Tear Ring Saga), please tell me.
This is an interesting trend and I do respect how much Xavier's completely changes the way you tackle his map on top of still being optional, unlike with Douglas where you'd get locked out of the good ending. Xavier is just absurdly difficult lol, haven't gotten to any of Kaga's non-FE games yet but maybe they have something that rivals him.
As far as I know sadly not. And I really wish it was possible in case Forsetti gets stuck on someone like Coirpre or Artur having the Valkyrie staff when he cannot use it even after promoting.

Myrm Emblem is definitely worth checking out. RU-vid Poop Emblem is kinda old now and has IMO a few issues with the playable units but is still enjoyable. Otherwise I can't think of too many completed ones. An issue with meme hacks I sometimes have is they can lean too hard on the self inserts.
i remember that in my playthrough i stole a sadgittae and gave it to sharlow and he absolutely destroyed almost every enemy with it, i remember he, rebbecca and chungis were very good in my playthrough
He does on a first playthrough but you're given an option to save him and have him join you later in subsequent playthroughs. Hope I didn't spoil too much here.
For me it's not an issue of hate that they use unoptimal gameplay I just hate when they pick units that they know are subpar and then complain about how difficult it is to play with them like bro, you knew that when you pick characters like Wendy and Sophia it wasn't gonna be as smooth. So don't complain, take the time to train them, you know that by picking these subpar units that you like because you find them cute or whatever will require more of you as a player, so don't complain when the going gets tough. Double down and do what is necessary. If you had just picked bors or ray you wouldn't be having these problems, but you decided that you wanted to go the longer way round so do the things that you need in order to get you through the longer way round.
Yeah that's a thing too. Honestly I relate because sometimes I still struggle when find myself overestimating units that I already knew are bad like Barth or Kieran in later parts of Radiant Dawn.
