The ‘cricket box’ made me laugh, when you were discussing it before showing the item. That is not what I imagined, being English - it is something men where to protect themselves when playing the sport.
I think the carved one that looks like wood is a gourd. Also, I bet many of the beaded and glass ornaments are made in India, (I have some very similar)!
I would have said, "okay, help yourself" and as soon as she finished taking what she wanted, I would have gone straight to her cart and taken all of my things AND HERS that I wanted, all while quoting what she said, "it's not yours until you pay for it!" And wink at her as I walk away. #doseofherownmedicine
My guess is that you were in the Hawthorne area. I grew up there. I'm in Florida now and we have World Thrift and Ameri Thrift. Red, White and Blue I think was relatively new to that area. Value Village was there when I lived in New Jersey. I think it's in the old Rag Shop.
Yes, that happened to me. I was trying to ht a baby bed from a girl that lived 20 minutes away. When we arrived in time, she didn’t answer the door, texted her again and said she had just left her house, even though we had set up time. Two hours later she texted and asked us if we were still coming by.
@@MegantheWild I love thrifting, estate sales, garage sales, consignment stores.....my entire house is thrifted and overtime has become a beautiful place. i loved your finds of christmas. I too, get very excited over new finds especially Christmas!!! I can't wait to see you list more on your Poshmark site.
@@MegantheWild I would love the pear looking item for my fruit tree theme this year in my kitchen. Just what I need to add to this year's display. Will you be putting his on poshmark? I'm considering the three little fruit too.
I could swear I saw this earlier this morning... then realized my comment was not on here. You really scored! Those aren't your ordinary Christmas ornaments... Beautiful! ❤
Oh, Mary, bless you, you DID see it this morning. There was an issue with RU-vid and I had to remove it for a bit. RE: my "score". Thank you. I was so excited to find so many treasures! 😍
Most normal people would not DARE to rummage through someone else’s cart. Take heart you were perfectly in your right. I’m not so genteel as you and consider “that woman” an entitled twit and probably as dumb as a bag of hair. No way. This store is wonderful and a lot of the prices are great.
Hi Marybeth! I'm in NY, but I go to CT nearly every month to thrift. I just went to the White Elephant Sale in Old Lyme and thrifted near there. It was great!
@@MegantheWild oh i didn't know about that....have you been to the Elephants Trunk flea market on sunday's here in New Milford. Are you able to share some spots for me to check out ?
@@marybetht6997 Elephant Trunk Flea Market is on my list! Have you been to Pandemonium? I went there and really liked it. I filmed it, but I haven't finished the video yet.
Good grief, I wonder if the cart lady does that when she is in Safeway, Target, or Costco? A shop is a shop regardless of what they sell. Unwritten rule, natural etiquette... don't touch my stuff!😅
She thought you were a push over. She wanted something you had or she mentally ill. I’m a tall lady and most the time people don’t mess we me. Maybe it is an attitude thing too. 🥰
Think maybe you were bummed because I saw quite a few things that caught my attention. I've not been stood up when buying something on market place but had several messages with a prospective buyer what never showed. Fortunately I had a backup buyer for the pool table and accessories. Ride and to use a southern word, TACKY
I don’t leave my cart unattended. Sometimes the employees leave a cart on the end of the aisle before putting them on the shelves. Then people go through them
Megan, I live in Philadelphia and only hope your atores are near Philly. Let me know. I am a newbie and love your content!! Red, White and Blue stores are the best. Donna xoxo
Hello Megan, I'm new on your channel. I'm just starting watching. This is my first video. All the beautiful treasures you have in your cart. I like them some pretty neat things. As far as eating in the store for me, it's a big giant NO, and as far as taking peoples carts like that, it's a big giant. NO, it sounds like to me she is a bully and probably does this alot gota to say it's my cart I picked them out and when it's in the cart I'm buying them and they are mine!!!! I went to a good will in ks and a little girl squatting down with a dress on and pead on the floor behind us in the were the bedding is at I told her no don't do that and her mother come around told me to shut up and I told her to clean that up she to me to go blank myself. To me, that's crazy it makes me sad how some people act !! It's all over the world. Some people just have gone nuts. Love your video such pretty finds. Have a great fun sunshine day !!!!!!
