I find it interesting that so many western powers have so drastically underestimated the staying power of, not the Soviet Union, but of the Russian Man. We are guilty of that national folly too.
The volume of narrator is drowned out Use an audio equalizer, Firefox has an audio equalizer extension His voice is about 500hz Adjust that slider volume up, I adjusted the rest down in volume 👍
back when history channel was called the Hitler channel. At least they showed real documentaries back then, and not trying to convince us alien's built everything.
The last part of the video is incorrect. German tank forces at Kursk only suffered 260 tanks lost and the russians lost almos 2000. It is a myth that the panzerwaffe was destroyed at Kursk.
But. The only thing the Germans could really succeed at was losing. And their record shows that they were excellent at that, time and time again. I’m often disappointed by the hero worship that this wicked regime still gets from people who should know better. Grow up people.
9:53 Do you think A hostile nation Could inflict this kind of damage towards the western World militaries In another kind of form? For instance an Inoculation of sorts?🤔🤐🧐
Thanks for posting the entire "German War Files" series (at least the ones you own). They were incredibly informative and well narrated with a lot of footages I've never seen in any of the WWII documentaries.
My Grandfather's brother was Pilot of a HE 111 and saw first action by the Raid of Rotterdam. He told my Opa how ashamed He was after He saw the destruction of civil targets and lifes. He refused to flying Bombers anymore and was lucky enough not to land in a KZ and was permitted to change to the Fighter Squadron JG 52, like my Opa. He didn't survive the War, he was shot down over the Channel and didn't make it to the shore. His Wingman watched in horror the Spitfires turn around and shot him while bailing out on Parachute. He told my Opa that they flew around his Brother and all of them opened fire on the Man. That was a Warcrime and my Opa told me that he at first thought he will seek revenge but couldn't because it was against anything he learned by the Luftwaffe. My Opa was put on Military Tribunal for sparing a B 17 which He had badly damaged and then let make a crash landing because they dropped the Bombs and opened the undercarriage as sign of surrender. He served 3 weeks in Prison for not killing helpless Men who weren't a threat anymore. This was in early 1944 and my Opa was then send to the eastern Front but survived the War and surrendered to the Americans with his FW 190 "Dora".....my Opa was a good Person and never believed in those weird, strange and inhuman "Rassen-Ideologie" The best thing i remeber from him was, He told me to never believe in stereotypes and his famouse sentence was: evety Country in thecWorld has the same amount of Idiots, Criminals but most of the Poeple all around the World are decent and just wanna live in Peace.....i believe it, despite all the bad things happen on a daily basis..
As a modeler and diorama builder I thank you for the narration in this film. When it comes to markings, camouflage, area of battle. type of vehicles, this footage is indispensable.... excellent stuff.
i find the turretless tanks/ tank destroyers/ assault artillery to be very interesting i wonder if new designs like this will comeback they are simpler allow for more armor similarly to jagdtiger
Why did they destroy the abbey of Montecassino? It was unnecessary and what the allies achieved, nothing, sacrificing 50 thousand soldiers, they could have surrounded it and reached Rome...
