Thank you for sharing this helpful video. I want to travel to this spot next weekend and I just wanted to know how it looks like in September. The last sentence of the caption made me smile:)
I live in Switzerland for a very long time. I had visited the canton of Graubünden (Grisons) in 1991 and 1995. I decided to spend one week there this year. In the course of the past two and a half decades, the local colour has entirely been lost in the communities of Davos and Arosa. Lenzerheide reminded me more of the place I had visited in the 1990s. The nature has always been and still is beautiful, but most of the new buildings (in particular in Davos) do not tally with the norms of the older architecture; to use an analogy, I felt like watching cubism and impressionism exhibits, placed together in one room of a museum. Outrageous prices for simple things: for the sake of example, parking fees at the level of 5 Fr. for the first hour in Davos... Restaurants serving half the amount of food for double the price... Zürich geschnetzeltes without... champignons and porcini mushrooms (Steinpilze)... Overall, Graubünden has become a shithole for the very rich; and the locals (as the case is on such occasions) have learnt to play along... To wrap it up in one sentence, I will never get back to Graubünden again.
Hallo!
Hi, great footage and music choice. Too bad about all the tourists who visit for that Netflix K drama. When's the least crowded time to visit. I really want to avoid those K drama fans. Thanks
@@VirtualSwitzerland thanks for your reply. Late September/October is exactly when I'd like to visit. Would it be better if I visited early morning or is that a moot point during that Autumn season anyway? I really would like to avoid even one single K drama fan. I'm actually Asian-American, but want to avoid these fans as I know what they're like. A youtube influencer (a Swiss/American couple) even suggests avoiding setting foot on Iseltwalt altogether and simply ferrying past it, but that sounds extreme. Cheers
Hello again! Late September/October is a great time to visit! There are very few tourists in Iseltwald and the landscape is truly stunning, filled with gorgeous autumn colours. It would be a pity to miss it!
Une ville d'une beauté architecturale incroyable, une ville d'une élégance infinie, mais quelle magnifique trésor ! Bienne est à l'image de la Suisse, un pays envié et admiré par le monde entier. Merci infiniment pour cette somptueuse balade.
Great video! I am currently planning a trip and your video has inspired me to make this a place to stay. I'm going in mid October. Do you mind sharing when in October this video was filmed? A recommendation on lodging?
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you found the video inspiring for your trip planning! This video was actually filmed on October 30th (2022), so the weather should be fine during your trip in mid-October. As for lodging, there are some guesthouses in Gimmelwald, but I've never spent a night there so I can't recommend anything.
Uri canton is such a underrated region in Switzerland. It is not only the "cheapest" canton in Switzerland, but also one of the most beautiful regions, with the turquoise lake Lucerne around. Reminds a lot of the fjords of Norway.
Happy New Year! Thank you so much for the exellent video.Nice footage in nice village. Got huge delight. Bravo! Enjoyed and liked at the same time. Greetings from your subscriber. Country Azerbaijan, Baku city.
