What a fantastic vocalist Clodagh Rodgers was. She could certainly belt out these soulful songs without screaming. One of the best singers of the 60’s and 70’s.
Excellent single that somehow missed out on the charts. Clodagh was a wonderful singer and fantastic when singing live. Miss this style of music. Takes me back to happier times. Love you Clodagh ❤ love that sultry look in her beautiful Irish eyes

Clodagh Rogers. Very talented (hense the spot on impression of Cilla Black ) lady. My favourite songs by Clodagh are Jack In A Box and You Are My Music.
J'applaudis à deux mains. Sacha associé à cette chanteuse que j'ai découvert il y a à peine quelques jours sur la chaînes, deux joyaux de la Chanson dite de divertissement. C'est bien plus que cela, c'est de la diffusion de bonheur.
You fill my heart, baby lift me up I could never get enough. You're the reason i'm in love Come raise your lips to the loving cup Somewhere across the sea Familiar voices call to me. Come back where you come from. Return and sing your song. This is where you rightfully belong. I travelled here and lingered there Sung to people everywhere. Changes I have known a few The finest change is loving you. Now my place here is truthfully with you. You fill my heart, baby lift me up, Ooh, I could never get enough. You're the reason i'm in love. Come raise your lips to the loving cup. See my tears of joy as they flow, Such happiness I've never known. Yeah you, my love, are reason why I'm living in this natural high, Right here peacefully with you. You fill my heart, baby lift me up, I could never get enough. You're the reason i'm in love. Come raise your lips to the loving cup! You fill my heart, baby lift me up, I could never get enough. You're the reason i'm in love. Come raise your lips to the loving cup! You and me have a loving cup, Drink! Drink! from the loving cup! You and me have a loving cup, Drink! Drink! from the loving cup! You and me have a loving cup! Can't find the lyrics anywhere for this great song and very little details online. And this is the only upload I can find. I have written them down as far as I can tell. If anybody has the full lyrics and any mistakes, please correct. Can't believe I've never heard this before. No covers? Fletcher and Flett were great writers, this is a gem. Unfortunately, all you get is Rolling Stones when you search...IMO this is even better than the Stones song of the same name (although I like that one as well).
I carried my basket along by the riverbank looking for red sweet apples. the hazy sun was a-high doin' do to me (??) shining from the hills to the chapels. I walked by the rocks and I walked by the brambles, looking for goodies to carry home. Little by little, I filled my basket with strawberries and honeycomb. Who goes there? A stranger lurks behind me. What goes on? Show your face sir, kindly. Ooo, Wolf! wolf! I cried wolf! Look at him, shoot at him! Throw the book at him! A wolf! a wolf, a brown-eyed wolf. Run him down, hunt him down, run him out of town! Ah, when he looked so good, I wonder if I'll let him catch me, what have I got to lose? I played it coy, made like a rabbit and I hopped up to avoid him. Now he came after, unsuspecting how much I enjoyed him. I ran by the rocks and I ran by the brambles, hoping he would find me. Little by little he made his move, looked like he would swallow me. Who goes there? A stranger lurks behind me. What goes on? Show your face sir, kindly. Ooo, Wolf! wolf! I cried wolf Look at him, shoot at him! Throw the book at him! Hey hey a-hey! A wolf! a wolf, a brown-eyed wolf. Run him down, hunt him down, run him out of town! Ooo, Wolf! wolf! I cried wolf You gotta look at him, shoot at him! Throw the book at him! Bang bang a-bang bang! A wolf! a wolf, a brown-eyed wolf. Run him down, hunt him down, run him out of town!
