I am hoping to help other people that are living the Nomad or Van life style I have been working at this since 2017 I don't claim to be an expert by any means But I have been thru 3 out of 5 vehicles successfully
2 vehicles were complete rip offs - caviat emptor ( let the buyer beware ) In the past few years , people have asked about my solar power system Anyone can do it , it's not rocket science
Also will post some mechanical videos I help my friends keep things running when I can
As I progress, I will try to create more vehicles like mine I actually love mechanic work, and have fun most of the time figuring new or OLD stuff out Hopefully this channel will be entertaining as well as a tutorial

@@fastinradfordable yes sir Got a whole laundry list to fix Front bearings , starter solenoid , both belts Rebuilding the throttle body Tune up Fuel sending unit And more inside the truck lol 😆
And 24 and 72 are both tranny speed sensor errors, I need to install new speed sensors anyway, one keeps freaking out, no speed then it gets it then it starts going erratic
Sorry bro This is terrible diagnosis. You can’t check 5 different electrical problems With no multi meter And just guessing randomly swapping parts because how you feel.
I had the sister vehicle (2006 Ford Freestyle). Its alternator went out during a trip to Michigan in 2012, about 5 hours from my home. Thankfully, I was able to get a boost to get it running long enough to make it to a Ford dealer in Frankenmuth, where they swapped it out with a rebuilt one. It cost me $350.00 including a new battery, which I thought was good value for a dealership.
Yes , absolutely great deal for a dealership Then they turned around, rebuilt it original, and sold it for $300 or more And probably even got a tax break on top of that 😲🤔😵💫😵
@AsymmetricAuto As mentioned, I live a few hours away (on the other side of the border). We were on our way home from a family holiday in Michigan's UP. I was grateful that it happened near a garage that was able to sort it out in half a day at a fair price, as I had few options.
You should have use a nut buster. FOR REAL. that or just hack saw them off and weld on new bolts later. ALSO fill the tank with water to the top before. that or purge with some argon or nitrogen.
I was hoping to not break the strap bolts But the old style hangers were easier and easily replaceable , so the eye bolt repair is preferable to me And the flames were never touching the tanks , I was firing the outside edge of the nuts mostly to melt in lubricants
Take your time mate i love these old fords had a few in my day here in Australia 1966 XR-289.1968-XT-302, 1970 XW-351 love the body shapes the way the doors close good solid Fords not so much computer stuff
Yeah, I am not a fan of electronics on a mechanical machine "engine" All it does is add problems to a simple running machine... I prefer before 1973 vehicles , NO electronic nightmares
This is the whole reason I'm looking to buy a brand new Chevy Express Cargo Van extended but it has to have the 6.6 l V8. That's where I'm running into problems finding a 6.6 l extended van Chevy Express is a true unicorn I don't really care if it's a 3/4 ton or a 1 ton van but they are impossible to find.
