What do you mean overheating? Lol how did you determine that? Guess the fan kit should be first upgrade? I ordered mine a few months back still waiting. Good video
How did I determine overheating she boiled over a few times in some really technical stuff got really hot was not good list some coolant topped it up put a fan kit on it and just as another precaution put the bypass kit on I spoke to some dealers and they said that a lot of riders do it on the beta 300
@@Swampth1ng hope this helps but don't let it put you off the bike is unreal im really happy with it i ride a lot of technical boggy stuff if your riding fast flow trails you won't have a problem
I don't agree with the thermostat bypass. How can the coolant cool if its constantly flowing rather than time spent to cool in the rad?? It will gradually build up temp and overhear.
Thanks it’s an awesome bike been having few issues it runs a lot hotter than the older single single spark so I’m having to opt from r a thermostat bypass kit and a fan kit so something you might want to look into when you get one the bike runs amazing just that it gets seriously hot when your riding hard technical boggy stuff
@mr1982davies can you let me know if you get it running cooler? There are two things that stress me out and my bike running hot is one , running low on fuel is the other. I was just talking to someone about a deal on one but I don't want to have these problems.
@@Matthew-wn8oq the fuel issue is not a problem the bike is very good on fuel much better I did a big run last weekend and the fuel consumption was really good the heat issue will be resolved for sure with a fan kit I’m told so I’ll update u as for getting one definitely worth buying in my opinion the bike is amazing
My mistake I had it on a chest mount and when sitting it was in good view bug I didn’t take into account when standing it would be pointing down iv now been using a chin mount on my helmet witch will give a better view lesson learnt 🤣🤣👌

Been thinking about getting an Enduro, as an old MXer, my knees and back, need something slightly less full on, than the KTM450 4 stroke MX bike I was considering 😊. Hey mate. I have the same bike and love it but don’t think the Rear suspension is as good as it could be. Is the cane creek a good upgrade? Does the bike feel poppy with the progressive spring? Better upgrade than the mullet link? Thanks
Highly recommend the link and the kitsuma shock amazing yes the bike feels poppy with the progressive spring but choose your spring wisely as I had to a higher rate as the first coil didn’t feel as poppy
@@mikec9022 ended up going with the cane creek 550lbs to 610lbs there was a Lot more pop of that spring it felt pretty good for jumping and still held some of its supple at the top of its stroke but defiantly go with a coul I would never go back to air after its amazing 👌
@@Jcscoob amazing to put it simple the bike is unreal i can't fault it only thing i can fault would be some of the components the brakes i upgraded to the new xt as the standard ones are ok but there just not up to the job and the bars and stem coco from sucrose wasn't to my tasting but apart from that everything else works great id probably upgrade the fork damper later on to the 2.1 damper from rockshox and upgrade to the kiox display as it has better functions and better reading and safety on it than the prion display but as a hole you will not be disappointed

No worries you will love it mullet is the way to go for sure yep it’s booked in next week to have the kiox display fitted over hopefully it will be a lot better improvement
the only reason im going for the sx is simply a better balanced bike with the longer chain stays i love the meta i have now but through the turns its very hard to get it to feel planted as yourwight has to be more forward other than that its an amazing bike u literally don't need anything more
Yes I’m on a large frame yes the medium is a better balanced bike so the the reach measurement to the chain stay measurement makes a lot more sense thankfully the sx has rectified the issue and it will be a beater bike for the bigger frame iv only ordered the frame so will swap all components over but I’m upgrading front fork to a factory fox instead that’s all the changes being made
@@jeremyallen8935 yes defiantly ride it for sure but I just preferred mullet after riding a mates bike so I invested in the link from mic Williams and haven’t looked back from my personal use of the meta it’s a better bike iv ore ordered the new sx frame from commencal arriving in January
Hey man! hopefully you still read comments! I'm thinking about buying this exact coil for my META Am! Did you have to buy specific mounting hardware for it (bushings and whatnot) from Cane Creek ? Thx bud! Love the big, just not a fan of the DPX2 :)
Hey mate yes I do still read comments I haven’t updated my aide for a bit as iv been so busy with work and driving at dyfi bike park no I didn’t need to buy any hardware bushings they all fit the cane creek from the dpx2 shock us the same bushings they fit perfectly this coil shock is awesome mate

@@mr1982davies Thanks mate! Appreciate the feedback. You're running the 450 spring @ 80 kilos; I'm 65 kilos so I'd probably be better off on the 400-488lbs spring eh? Talking about their VALT progressing spring here.
Hi I don’t have the bike anymore unfortunately so I can not tell you how many rebound clicks are on the shock I thought it was 37 clicks with rebound high and low included ?
Yes mate still got the meta that will not be going anywhere for the time being ye holding up really strong took it out last weekend loved it what a steed 👌
@@mr1982davies I’ll look forward to it. How was commencal on delivery times? I’m a UK rider and purchased the ride edition, one lower spec than yours, back in November 2020. Was told that it should be delivered by March 2021 and then they’ve had issues with delivery to France. Presumably the frame shipping is delayed. Should be hear at the end of this month or start of next. Curious to see if other people have had the same experience or I’m just unlucky with timing of covid and brexit. Really want to get out on the bike and enjoy it.
@@James-dn1hu to be fair commencal are really good with there shipping mine arrived earlier than scheduled a week before . yes id defiantly say you had bad luck with what's been going on with covid and brexit but if commencal say those dates they have given u im sure it will defiantly arrive then or maybe sooner the wait will be worth it tho trust me

Hi there Alejandro don’t let the geometry numbers fool u the bike takes the curves with ease it’s simply out standing machine I will love it it takes everything in its stride defiantly purchase one if u have the opportunity
You could ride a large if u want a smaller bike to Chuck about but personally I’d go xl size and if u find it’s to long put a shorter stem on it but as it is xl feels really good for me I have a long arm
The commie waiting for the bike parks to open she would be out Easter weekend but rumours are in the air that the bike parks hear in wales are not reopening on that weekend so just getting more bike time on the ebike around my local trails it will be out soon

Hi there yes my first ebike but I have a 2021 commencal meta am 29er first of all the zeb fork feels very good and plush in this configuration has plenty of mud stroke support I will probably swap out the damper at a later date as an upgrade for just more adjustments but all in all a solid fork the bike climbs really well it’s very impressive u can lock out the rear shock if u want to but I haven’t felt the need to do this as the bike sits well and has no Bob on climbing it’s a very good bike u will not be disappointed
Is this the jade that’s been available since 2015 or something ? I’m trying to find a shock that fits my Santa Cruz v10 and is really nice to ride downhill
Hey Mark. Congrats on your bike. Can you be so kind to help me with the distance between the toptube shok mount and the downtube? Hi what bike have you ridden before? What size of commencal do you ride? I read that size L feels rather unbalanced due to relatively short chainstays what is your opinion on that?
Hi previous bikes where a whyte g170s , yt Capra al comp 29er , yt tues cf pro race the commencal to me doesn’t feel unbalanced if but a shorter stem on it witch possibly does alter my stand over position on the bike witch possibly does help iv been jumping it quit a bit and it seems to jump really well and not feel like it’s nose heavy or rear end heavy I’m riding the large and it feels pretty damn spot on for me a trail weapon
