Every Wednesday 1PM EST, Aron invites an expert to teach you how to automate your workflows with no-code tools. Learn how to use tools like Airtable, Webflow, Zapier, Parabola and so many others
Man you taught me airtable only using this video. I can now easily manane my accounting firm. I have tried everythiing including Zoho CRM, Hubspot, Jira and nothing matches my use case. Airtable is usable since It allows us to create what we want.
When setting up payment solutions for a job board, it's crucial to find the right fit. In addition to considering Jotform and Stripe, don't forget about InvoiceBerry for your invoicing needs. It's designed to streamline financial processes and could be a valuable tool for managing transactions efficiently.
n8n is not open-source, it is source-available; and this is a huge difference. Open-source is not only making it the source code public, it is also using a license, that would make it useful for everyone else
Great video, great teacher, it cover everything I need to know, but... How do you keep referencial integrity?, duplicated records?, I got to minute 47, my apologies if is cover on the rest of the video which I will keep watching tomorrow.
As a Scrum Master i absolutely like the idea of time-boxing, but i can't see the necessarity to follow it to the very second. In section one you created Departments as a drop down list but for companies you created a table. Both would be a 1 to n relation so, whats the reason for not using drop down for both? I totally understand the idea, but because of that unnecessary haste you missed the oportunity to explain.
Hey Carlos! Amazing question and I dive deep into this in the course but you should using a single select (aka dropdown) when that is the only piece of information you want to track. For instance, if I want to track a project's status or a department, that's a single select. Now for companies I used a linked record because I want to track additional information about the companies _in addition to the relationship_ ie number of employees etc. In many workflows you'll start with a single select and then turn it into a table. So if I wanted to track additional information about the department, I can simply create a new table from that linked record field and I'll maintain the relationship but now be able to add additional fields. Hope that helps!
Thank you so much for this video! I was trying to work with the Shopify API and got completely stuck on OAuth, this video has allowed me to finally integrate with it. Thank you!!!
Super nice and clear video, thanks! Do you know if there is a way to go one step further, i.e. creating a system that mimics a bank statement? I'm looking for a way to enter my expenses and revenues and get my bank account balance. I think Airtable doesn't allow for such formulas as : Balance (line N) = Balance (line N-1) - Expenses (line N) + Revenues (line N). Am I clear enough ?🤔
You can do that using rollups! Basically you attach every record to a bank account and then rollup the sums, to get a true bank statement you'll have to roll up base on calendar months but if you simply want a balance statement a roll up should do!
Thanks a lot for your quick answer @@AutomateAlltheThings. I was thinking about that, but I can't figure out how to use rollups in that case. Mostly beacause we would have to work both accross rows and accros columns.
@@comleonmoto There's really no such thing as "rows" and "columns" in Airtable -- each transaction (a record in your transactions table) should be tied to an account (a record in your accounts table) through a linked record and then you can roll up the value of all of the transations at the account level which will give you the current balance for that account. You probably don't have the right structure in your airtable base if you're not able to roll up
Hi Aaron - Thank you for this video. This is exactly what I am working towards. I have just one question. Let's say I create the campaign by dynamically placing the content using airtable and integromat. Now if in the draft, I want to make some changes in the design, will it have to be possible only through the html editor? I am asking this because the client for whom I would be doing this may need to do some final edits before sending out the campaign. If the person isn't comfortable with editing in the html layout, what can be a work around?
thank you very much, it is very useful can I ask a question , How many record we can register in Airtable I mean the number of fields & records? thanks
Hi, I saw your RU-vid channel video and understood that Very nice video. Your subscribers are 10.9k but there are no views of your video because your video is not SEO. I have analyzed and realized that your RU-vid channel is not progressing and improving. It is responsible for: 1. Not SEOing channel videos properly. 2. None of your videos tags. 3. There is no good tag in the channel. 4. Keywords used are not researched properly. 5. Videos are not promoted properly. 6. Description is not attractive. Do you want RU-vid full services can I help you?

I'm joining you from Puerto Rico. I'm a pretty new developer. I've dabbled in python. I'm here because I need to automate something in AT and unable to figure out how to do it through automations so trying my hand at writing a script.
Hi, I'm an Artist with a boutique. At yhe current time I'm my only employee, I'd live a turorial on cataloging suplies & inventory tracking; with the goals of being able to stay with AT as my business grows.
I'm only 3 minutes into the 1st section but in the relationship of tables, records & fields... does airtable allow you to create a record of fields THEN generate the table? ←I know it's essentially the same thing but I learned (many years ago) to create a database from individual records, thus, that flow is much easier for me to work with.
