I literally balled my eyes out yesterday. It's so upsetting & such a huge feeling of defeat when you have a lot of products published, a lot of views, but making no sales while everyone else is getting at least one sale to thousands of sales when they first started🤦🏻♀️ I have to be doing something wrong here🤦🏻♀️
Sorry to hear that 😣 I think the major thing is picking the right niche. Some niches are so saturated that you just literally won’t be seen or they are no longer popular. I have over 100 listings but do you know that all my sales are only from 8-10 of those listings? Meaning 90% of the products I’ve published have never made me a sale. Some niches perform better than others, it may be worth switching niches or start advertising your products outside of Etsy. Start social media pages like Pinterest and link your Etsy shop. Please don’t feel discouraged, there is always something we can do to improve 🤍
Hey, my first week of listing my products. I made 5 initial products and uploaded them all at the same time with discounts! I only started uploading more products 3-4 months after my first 5. Those 5 products took me around 4+ months to make because they were detailed & for a small niche which made it easier for me to make sales. I will be revealing my Etsy shop very soon in my next RU-vid video, make sure to subscribe so you see everything! 😊
Hey Chelsey! Sorry, I meant to show it but to get to it it literally showed all my shop products 😅 I mentioned it’s in your “Etsy Ads” section, when you scroll downwards you will find a list of all your products currently advertised. Each product will have a see “more details”, click this and you will find the relevant tags button on the top right. I hope that explanation makes sense, I use a web browser, so if it’s on mobile/ Etsy app this will not be the same. I will consider doing a proper step by step process once I reveal my shop!!💕
If you have a good quality product that’s in high demand and low competition in a less saturated niche, it can be very easy to get sales without Ads. But for most of us, finding such a product is not easy. Using Etsy ads will be necessary at some point to succeed on there unless you start advertising outside of Etsy e.g. make an Instagram, TikTok or Pinterest account to promote your Etsy shop 😊
Hy Dear I'm begginar on etsay plateform, I'm working on this from a month but i don't get any right path in making a store on etsay, can u help me please?
I really think Pinterest is the bomb for advertising outside of Etsy. I feel like Pinterest brought my monthly visits from 700-900.. to 2,000-3,000 visits. I'm still trying to grow my shop, and began watching youtube videos on pinterest marketing. I noticed people kept saying post manual pins daily, or multiple times a week. I did exactly that. It sounded like a lot of work at first... but now i love it, and it only takes me a few minutes.
Wow these stats are amazing, I didn’t know those exact details! Thank you so much I will try it out! And yes the thought of sitting down to make that many pins is daunting but I’ll try 😊
@@herbossmindset yes, gotta try it! My monthly Pinterest views were down to only 3,000 monthly views because I stopped posting on Pinterest as much. I started posting minimum once a day… then 3-5 times a week. Fast forward I now have 100,000 monthly views just based off of being consistent. You got this girl 👏🏾
@@Itstmera Do you sell digital products and advertise them on Pinterest? I am really struggling to get views, my conversion rate is about 2.7%, but my visits are low and I feel like more views would make a big difference for my shop. I have about 1,000 visits a month.
I just found your page & it's so refreshing. 😊 Your energy feels so genuine & authentic. I'm in the beginning stages of launching my business & am still uncertain about opening an Etsy shop but your videos are so encouraging. Wishing you great success on your journey & I can't wait for you to meet your 5k goal!!!
hey! thank you so so much for your kind words!😄 please don't be uncertain about opening your shop you have nothing to lose but everything to gain and in the end you can say you did it! Thanks for the support I'm trying my best to hit that target but it's hard out here haha 😅
Etsy is hard. You are right. The best month for me is June of last year when I made digital product relate to a social activism which I made 100 sales within 3 days. It was crazy and I made my first $1k month for digital but that was because that event was happening and I didn’t realize it until I see it on the news and that explain the 100 sales in three days. Since then it slow down and I just branch out to POD so bring back up the revenue by adding new products and new designs. You really have to keep up and list new thing follow trend and color and holiday to keep your shop active. There’s like new Etsy shop everyday and the competition is fierce so you really need to make new designs and try to cover as many niche as possible so you have a wider audience and even if you make 1-3 sale a day for a while month you’ll be making around $500-1000k depending on how much you price your digital items. So yes the more designs and listing targeting many interest and niches the higher chances to get daily sale even if it’s 1-3 sale a day and it does add up in a month.
Wow what a crazy experience!😯 100 sales in 3 days is amazing!! And goes to show the potential of Etsy!! Thank you for sharing that, you’re spot on - we do need to diversify. I think one of the reasons why my shop also did well at first then slowed down is that it’s so niche specific it almost locks me in and reduces potential to reach a wider audience. I may even open up a new shop that’s less specific and can reach more people with different interests. Thank you for watching and commenting 😊 I wish you the best with your shop 💕
I believe it’s definitely to do with my bank statements, the date the money enters my account is not exactly the date I made the sale so there’s a time difference that’s skewing the numbers a little!😅
I've seen other Etsy experts describe spending Etsy ads more as a way to get your listings seen by the algorithm to gather data on your store, and less as a way to make sales - especially at the start of one's Etsy journey :)
I think the stats on Etsy ads can be a little misleading. You could actually be making more than what it shows. I’ve noticed that people will like a listing from an ad and buy the product days later, so it won’t count as a sale from an ad, but really it was.
Yeah I get that, I guess it’s just a convenient quick place to start a business for just about anybody, building a customer base from scratch alone can be time consuming and difficult, I guess each has thier pros and cons
What software are you using to take out all of the empty pauses automatically when editing your videos? I see a lot of people doing this recently and wonder how it’s done.
Wow I had no idea you can sell baked goods on Etsy 😄 I actually thought such a business would have better fees than digital products 😓 I guess it’s just bad all around. Thank you for watching and do create that website for sure! I wish you all the best 💕
Hello thank you for your video 🙏🏻I am 22 years old I created my Etsy store one month ago I am trying to learn everything about what to do to have. Orders and learn more about how to grow. On Etsy Do you offer class ? Or some helps ?
Hey! I’m exactly in the same boast as you😅 I’m also still learning how to grow an Etsy store so unfortunately I don’t have any classes or experienced advice. For now it helps to keep listing different products, make sure your listing details are full of information for your customers, use key words in your product titles, make your listing photos visually appealing, try different colours and look to other sellers in your niche to help see what is selling best and gain inspiration from them 😊
Hi, great results! How many search results do your products have in your niche? Do you also sell low cost digital products? Let's say for $3-$4? How much per day did you spend on Etsy ads in the first month?
Hey! Thank you! My exact niche currently has 805 search results but I also have a few products in a niche with 7,111 search results. Yess i currently have 30 low cost products ranging between £1.20 - £4.99. And if you watched the video you would know I actually didn’t spend anything on AD’s 😅
Etsy takes the VAT and pays it to directly to the tax office I believe. If you make a sale you must pay the VAT to the tax office. Etsy is doing that right away. And then there is the 6,5% , the .20 for relisting etc..
I just opened my shop yesterday your videos have motivated me to keep going and keep listing! However, I feel like my niche is too broad? Any suggestions on how to narrow it down?💕
Congratulations on your shop!🤗 as for the niche it’s hard to say because it really depends what you’re selling, maybe try searching related key words and seeing which ones have less search results and what comes up. Think about how your products could be applied to something more specific and that should help narrow it down further. All the best!💕
I will do a full update, but may is okay... I have 5 new listings that are generating a few more orders but i need to work on my other listings to keep boosting them because some of those sales are reducing! I'm also thinking of starting Etsy ads again but only once i revamp my shop!
Hey, I have started my etsy shop one month ago but I didn't get any sale. My competitor are getting sales. Can I get it without ads? Please send me in this regard.
