Hey Nikki in the video you said that the newer bottle was fresher and that the older one was darker. Now that it has been 8 months are they both the same now?
It is correct. They are closer to the same thing now :) The new batch has turned darker now. So I'm sure they'll hit the same thing within a few months.
As far as I remember, the ingredients are the same. The order too. They are very alike. But despite that, I have tried where it is the same formula code and all, but where one is more watered down. But that is not the case here.
@@NickiAngelo ty so much im glad theyre identical. i know the regular eros edt is reformulated and the new bottles have the ingredients in different orders. your channel is very helpful ty.
@@messimagisterial4216 Yes, it's good that flame is the same until now. But the old edt has unfortunately been reformulated, as you yourself also say. There you can really confirm the difference. Thank you for your opinion about my channel, I am really glad to hear that. After my vacation, I will of course also come up with new videos again.
It’s 4 digits. Got it on pre-order from Dior back in 21, So I could get the first batch. 1D02. There was two batches pretty fast back when it first came out. And then it went fast with the batches.
@@NickiAngelo ty for the reply but thats not what im talking about. Its on the bottom of the box and that number is underneath the last ingredient. I think for mine its 15775 something like that and my batch code is 4d01
@@NickiAngelo Hey Nicki yeah my formula is the same too so it shouldn't be reformulated. I bought mine retail because I wanted to make sure I bought the real thing. I think people might be going nose blind or buying fakes and saying its reformulated. I sprayed 5 sprays the first day lmfao my head was so dizzy because it was too strong. My brother took his shirt off because two sprays was too much for him. For this fragrance if you spray less you can smell it more because its so strong. Anyways thanks for the great informative video and quick reply.
@@messimagisterial4216 I totally agree with you. Also wanted to confirm that for all the people who thought it had been changed. Yes, sometimes less is better when you're talking about such a powerful fragrance. Great to hear and see your contribution to this video and Sauvage Elixir. Thank you for your comments. Means a lot🙏
Appreciate the video. Has crazy as it might be never owned a sauvage. Got the EDP coming in.saw some talk about reformulations so I got worried. Happy to hear it's still good abd performes good. Might get the EDT next purchase if I enjoy the EDP since it came with a bottle to sample it.
I fully understand that you can get nervous when there has been so much talk about reformulation. With the edp version, you are also sure of good performance from the start. When/if you buy the edt version, use it a few times, don't worry, it will get stronger over time.
@@timtoomuch Thank you for your comment. I have tried fragrances without alcohol before, and there their performance has been quite poor. I thought with Dior, and their previous success with Sauvage, they might have done a miracle here, even though we're talking without the alcohol and all. But when I hear as I do, from you who have tried it, I am even more skeptical, and blind buy does not happen. I will definitely try to see what it entails, and maybe sample it just to make a review. Once again, thank you so much for your comment. Now multiple subs can. see this, from you who have tried it👍
@NickiAngelo Np I was hyped about it as well and I believe there was a content creator who made a video had the same experience as me especially with the white globs
Very informative! Does anyone have any idea about batch code 3F02 (mfg year 2023). I have the 200 ml bottle and used it only 1 time, 5 sprays. I bought it from Fragrance Shop UK. I can't smell it. No scent cloud. No projection. I've heard people say it's very strong and if one goes beyond 5 sprays, it can be headache inducing. Mine seems to be very weak. Any thoughts?
Also, I bought 2 more Dior fragrances from the same place at the same time. Dior Sauvage Elixir and Dior Homme Intense. Both are absolutely insane in terms of performance. So I think the seller is genuine.
haha, I doubt that everyone should smell like this. Then you should probably have sauvage. But then again, different perfumes often smell different on different skin. But it also depends on how much sense you have about scents. And how many different scents you rock.
My only gripe is the bottle design. It just looks like the standard Sauvage bottle. Not that that’s a bad thing. But I was expecting it to be more unique like the elixir. If they went with a clear cap, lighter blue gradient that’s a bit more see through and maybe a different shade on the font, then I’d be more excited. This is also a water based sauvage and that did concern me as most water based fragrances don’t usually do well. But since Francis is the new perfumer, I don’t think he’ll disappoint. This is Dior after all. They’re known for high quality fragrances. So I hope this doesn’t disappoint
All the information you write about the new release is correct. I completely agree about bottle design. I also don't think Dior will disappoint, even if there is no alcohol included in the perfume. They must have some special blend, because I know they want a huge sale on it, and they know they won't get that if people quickly find out that the product is a poor performer. We have to get excited and try. Thank you for your comment👍
This reformulation makes it suitable for office wear. Although you may need to spray a bit more. It still gets compliments after 8 hrs of wearing. Not all people will give compliment even if they smell you.
@@ika0552with my experience i was like 2 feet when i got the compliment. And it was from a stranger. My coworkers though, dont give me compliments even if i got close to them. And i got Noseblind from the fragrance. I didtnt expect a compliment from a stranger after 8 hrs.
Yes, I have also heard many divided opinions. Sad when it is like in this case. Good advice, if you still have a lot to use. Try applying a small layer of Vaseline to where you spray. Before you spray. This will guarantee just a few more hours. Not cool, I know. But bether Longiverty than the 3-4
I think Aoud violet is very masculine. Much like Dior F. I don't think it's very feminine at all. I know Fragrantica sees Aoud violet as "female" but Mancera itself has made it "unisex" But of course, you can also have different opinions on the whole.
tried 2013 and 2022 batches side by side last year and the lonevity was on par with both but the 2022 just had slightly less projection but they are 90% the same so they did not water it down.
There may be different opinions. Many would say that it is 100% watered down over time. What you write does not sound so far from what I experience. I think it is more that it has been watered down a bit, rather than strongly reformulated. Thank you for your comment
They are very similar when I smell them 😂 The only difference is, that in Aoud violet the violet accord is more effervescent, where the citrus accord is more effervescent in Wind wood. After the video, I also read about a lot of people who compare them in reviews when you read about both. A lot of people compare them, even Mancera. If you look at the note breakdown, they are very close as well. But for sure, if you really want both, buy both🌞
I have them both, and depending on my mood depends on which one I use. I may purchase Sauvage EDT next, but the low amount of fragrance oils on EDT that makes it last only a few hours, however Elixir and Parfum lasts all day.
@@TheStudderman Yes, our mood also plays a role in what we want to wear. I really like the scent of all Sauvage. But you're right, if you want to make sure that the scent lasts all day, then it's perfume or elixir.
What I personally did, which has worked for me, and which I will do in the future. It is to spray some sprays. For example, fill one to two ml. into a small container (as I did) Or use it once, where you might use 5-6 sprays, and then put the perfume in the back of your cupboard for a total of 1-3 months. In full packaging. I would do that and it has worked for me. You can test it after the first month, and if it is not good enough yet, then let it sit for about 3 month. 🌞🙏
