Hey bro, beautiful sunset or sunrise though, whichever one! Looks amazing though, regardless, you should have alot more views, maybe thousands at the very least and I'm not just saying that, I literally mean it, such a beautiful video! Let's be real here, if you could run at 140mph, i know I'd be scared but also excited at the same time 🤔🌍🌍
i know this is old, however all it does is say "Fetching package list ... done. Parsing package links ... done. Logging into AVSIM ... done." then it says "Package Download Complete! Even though it hasnt downloaded anything.
Hello there, i have downloaded some tiles, they are actually working fantastic, but there is one problem, when i go back on the ortho4xp to download more tiles, the previews one that were downloaded they end up disappearing from the map, and it makes difficult for me due to the amount of tile that i am downloading not knowing which one i already have coz they do not stay registered on the map
*** DON'T WATCH THIS VIDEO *** Smyalgames: Delete this video and start over. Right from the start it's chock full of misinformation. All that's needed is included in the 1.30 download.
Please help guys..I get error error message when creating overlays then it stops.. any fixes please..I am gou g crazy..I pointed overlay to read from global scenery ..many thanks
Wow this is crazy. I don't recall having to do anything as complex as this for Ortho4XP 1.20b. I think I'm going to stick with that for now. Sorry but there's no way I'm doing all that.
github.com/oscarpilote/Ortho4XP/tree/airport_auto_patch is no longer up. Can someone just upload their binary of v130? That would be a helluva lot easier than following this tutorial.
Shapely and GDal are throwing errors trying to install them with pip. Also (for previous comments) there is no Binaries folder in the master anymore, and no Windows executable version.
Hi! Thank you for your support! I followed your instructions and Works everything fine. By the way I have a problem: I have no buildings and nothing at all, just the imagery. In scenery pack.ini the orthophoto title is the last. Thank you for again! Regards!
The scenery was probably P3D’s default scenery, and also, PMDG stopped developing on X-Plane in 2017, they only have the DC-6 for X-Plane, and they won’t continue developing on X-Plane. And yes, the plane at the end was the NGX.
ok to time point 2:55 followed ok, but from then on totally lost, tried rewinding and going again, could not follow not explaining what ur doing and why (whatever)( making a bat file, why u making a the bat file? )( hows this bat file going to make life easier going forward (what is powershell?)(why u using it?), applaud ur effort but not a windows wiz I just want to get ortho4xp in and working so can make ortho for my xplane.
Bat files run shell scripts (powershell or cmd) automatically, so you don't have to open up the powershell window, navigate to the directory and run python. Think of powershell as a command line input version of windows, it is a text based way of navigating your computer. The reason for using powershell over the GUI is it gives you more control over your operating system and you can run computing languages through it. If you aare still looking for a easier way of doing this, look for the old 1.20 version binary of Ortho4xp.
Your instructions for installing Ortho4XP are great - however, it's unnecessary for Windows users. There is an executable binary for Windows users in the latest v1.3 download inside the Binary folder called Ortho4XP_v130.exe. All windows users need to do is launch this executable. Now, when you opened up Ortho4XP, your instructions aren't clear. This is my first time looking at the Ortho4XP interface and I'm not sure what "Draw water masks" does and what overlays even are. Perhaps you can explain what these functions and items are before telling us we can use them if we need them? You talk about redoing a mesh at 10:20. What is a mesh? Why does it need to be redone? My fresh install of X-Plane 11 and Ortho4XP has no square boxes on the map like yours is showing.
@@austinbrizzown just download the whole master branch of the oscarpilote/Ortho4XP github project as a ZIP and extract it somewhere on your computer. And as Thunderbird2935 said, no need to install anything else separately as in the video, for windows, there is Ortho4XP_v130.exe in the Binary subfolder, just run that and you're golden. //edit: Oh, I see the compiled binary for windows is no longer on github, it is part of a separate download, you can find a link on xplane forums in the signature of any of oscarpilote's posts, if I remember correctly it's a link to his google drive..
