@neckofthewoods24 Cummins started Fleetguard filters in 1987. Google search says Mopar is a rebadged Fleetguard also says it's made by Purolator.... I don't think you can go wrong with either one.
22:18 is a lifesaver. I started to take off that stupid undertray too to get to the bottom of the radiator (with the car on ramps so even more annoying) and thought there must be a better way when I saw the bolts way up in there behind the other trays. And sure enough. Taking out that plastic plug through the hole is about 1000x easier. I did the matching power steering tank at the same time. That thing sure is ugly - not sure if it came from the factory yellow or just yellowed that much more than the coolant tank.
@@neckofthewoods24 yes . Im leaving Florida next year for south carolina . Since 65 fl population has gone from 5.3 mil to over 23 mil. South Carolina pop has gone from 2.5 to 5.3mil. @@dt9094 none that I ever heard of but I’m not great with autos. You’d think there would be a away but I’d also think if they don’t over heat it’d last forever.
Those are reusable gaskets on the diffs. I can remove and replace bolts faster than waiting 30 min and changing that container twice. Rear diff isn’t that bad of a mess and I’m pretty sure banks said the stock cover is the next best option to theirs. And never mind…just watched a second video where you sold it. But for everyone else who own one, it’s reusable 😂
Whats the price factor. Went to HD and lowes this morning and attic ac01 fiberglass insulation was $60 per 25lb bag While greenfiber was $20 per bag but everyone says it takes at least twice as much to cover the same amount of space
@@nickfoleie2074 it’s more about thickness than so I’d have to do the math per bag but it does make sense. Fiberglass would stay more fluffy and cellulose does compress. Regardless cellulose is going to have a higher R value and since fiberglass losses R value as the temps drop you’re gonna need more thickness to equal the same value. If I was doing fiberglass I’d be blowing way more than what the thickness states. So far on mine at R60 we started at almost 19” and now we are about 17”. Hopefully it’s still an R60.
@@nickfoleie2074 lol fiberglass would be 22.22” for an r60. We did 18.75” for the height sticks and roughly 19” and had them covered. With settling which it states, it should settle to r60 at 1-2” lower. So an attic say 40x50 at R19 the bag states 110.7 sqft. So 3.16x that you need roughly 60 bags. Today that’s $2,677.20. Cellulose would be 130 bags or $2,095. Cellulose is cheaper and better. And I believe it’s cheaper because you don’t have to mine the rocks, turn it into glass, treat it etc etc.
2018 Ram 3500 .. Just did my F/R diffs @ 63k but had it done about 30k already. Dealer pulled covers and resealed so I just took harbor Frt transfer pump and pumped it dry and refilled. Used Ultra1 GL5 old fluid looked clean but time too change out and neither drain plug had any debris stuck to magnet Awaiting Ravenol transfer case fluid and will change that upon arrival. Whole job equaled about 180.00 dealer wants 500.00+.
@@pualsmall5378 definitely the way to DIY! I know people everywhere gotta make money but this 20% inflation since 2021 is just bullshit! Everyone got rich but us
@@neckofthewoods24 Yes its a higher quality cellulose insulation that the older stuff that had ammonium sulfate in it. Ammonium sulfate can give off a smell when humid, also it becomes corrosive to metal when it gets wet.
@@KipringPayne good to know! Definitely could be in it if this BS didn’t happen!! Just need septic for probably 10-20k and we definitely lost that in the cost of all this BS.
You keep on prioritising those pay cheques; nowadays that is the number one priority. Please just occaisionally keep us informed (on RU-vid - as bad as it is - and/or X as I won't touch Instagram, Facebook etc.). Hang on in there - for as long as it takes. @@neckofthewoods24 I did suggest they would get the "government money" but wouldn't complete. A lot of things need to change before that. Hope it has not affected your property rights/value - although it may, eventually.
it has. everyones property value has gone up like 20-30%. its gonna push them all out and even if out house is paid off it'll be insane here when we dont have any police, fire, street stuff. just downright insane!
@@neckofthewoods24 Yeah; here in the Spanish Costa del Scum with the "urbanisations", you're generally going to need a car (no public transport) just to get a pint of milk or a packet of fags. It's bad enough just trying to find a bar in most urbanisations. Also you have to contract private security becuase police "can't be bothered" etc. etc. If I could I'd just bugger off into the woods in a civilised country and become a self-reliant, off-grid hermit living in a log shack.
@@usdpaulp yes and not yet. It’s no longer made so the values have not dropped. The longer I keep it the more I’ll make when I sell. The interest is almost zero cause it was bought before the economy took a major shit so it’s like a small savings account at the moment. If I sold now I’d have to replace it with something cheaper but paying 8% interest is bullshit with a 800 credit score!! And by that I mean a daily driver. So we’ll see what happens. If I hold out 1 more year it’ll pay for the septic in full.
AC doesn't refer to treatment. It means one side (A) is finished, the other side (C) is rough. There are several kinds of treatment, but in general, there is untreated, treated, and ground contact treated. At least, this is true in the Pacific Northwest.
Find a 2016 or older Honda CR-V. The K24 engine is one of the best engines Honda ever build and with proper care will go 500,000 miles. I got the wife a CR-V EXL AWD and she just loves it. Very practical, carries a LOT of cargo and gets fantastic fuel economy. New cars are junk and they spy on you plus have government mandated shut off switch. House is coming along nicely.
@@wrfarms9741o I know. I was just looking at marketplace and saw the Civic Si. I had a 99 back in high school. Figured 6k was cheap, it’d run forever and gas would be awesome!! I can always get bigger stuff in Erin’s SUV if we need to. I bet we could add a towing hitch to hers also.
Change CCV every 30k miles or sooner. I waited for the scheduled interval and I have a oil pan that’s leaking and also a rear main seal. I currently have 225,000 miles. Docs diesel is cheap price on filters

@@MarkLloyd-yo4li I was looking at Toyota recently but now they have a recall on 100,000 engines for the tundra and one of the SUVs. That’d suck but also kinda nice to have a motor with zero miles now.
@@neckofthewoods24 Isn't any risk they're pretty much infinitely reusable as long as you don't stick a screwdriver in there. They're thick plastic not a rubber or cork like the old ones. Hose em down with brake cleaner and they'll be fine. Have had 4 new rams with no issues
Thanks for the video about the tires. Really like the silver color. Always wanted a dually truck for the looks and capabilities, but I like wide tires. Starting to wonder if a srw might be a better path for really wide tires.
Get you some of that lower radiator hose , the trans. fluid isn't easy. Back of pan is covered by cross member, unbolt the trans mount and jack it up a inch and a half.
Good idea tbh, idk though I’d do this but I’d need to make sure I can make a locking system in case it fails lol. Probably just put actual jack stands under the frame tbh.
@@Rrrmndo yes that’s what I do. These are just jacks, not jack stands. Once up just pop the stands on the frame rails and they sit on the lifts surface.

@@chrisdaniel1339 yeah it’s hard to pick out the correct stuff because the models don’t take ICF into the equation. Don’t want to big or to small of a system.
@@neckofthewoods24 Did you install in floor hydronic radiant heat in your house? The PEX tubing is laid and then the concrete floor poured and the whole floor becomes the radiator. In floor heat is great as it keeps the feet warm and yet the air is not stifling to breath making it super comfortable. Also with in floor heat the tankless water heater or boiler does not heat the circulating water as hot a traditional force hot water baseboard heat saving money.
Stumbled across just seeing what others have done with CC mounting in the engine bay. You really don't want to put a can on that small line, that's the drain from the OE CCV Filter back into the block. If you look at the pricey Dirty Diesel Customs Valvecover/CCV Delete/Catch Can configuration they use that line to drain their can so you never have to empty it.
@@joshuaeb09 this was only installed on the line going back to the turbo so the suction is very large and powerful to pull out blow by. So I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
@@neckofthewoods24 In the begging of your video you show a bit of concern about the CCV drain line. I'm just calling out that it is indeed an oil drain line back into the pan. The cummins isn't at all like most gas applications where you have a "clean" side and "dirty" side for the PCV/Crankcase Ventilation plumbing like you'll find on boosted Hemi/LS/other applications. You just have the suction side pulling through the CCV - aka where you installed your can.
